Equans is recruiting for an Electrician to be based on site at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People in Edinburgh. This is a permanent full-time role working 42 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Possess an advanced understanding of policies and procedures relative to the role, ensuring compliance with these standards and maintaining high-quality outputs and standards.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Health and Safety at Work (HASAW) requirements and duties. Ability to risk assess work processes, develop method statements, and train employees to adhere to HASAW requirements.

  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Planned Maintenance (RPM) tasks assigned through Maximo or other designated systems. Sign off completed work and report any issues to the shift lead for rectification.

Who are we looking for?

  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Painter/Decorator

EQUANS are recruiting for a Painter / Decorator to be based in Londonderry. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £27,560, a van & fuel card and benefits package.

General Overview

  • To undertake the duties/responsibilities as a Painter and Decorator to the standards set out by the contract. 
  • To carry out the duties as a Painter and Decorator in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. 
  • To assist the Foreman in producing a quality product within the contract period. Understand, implement and adhere to EQUANS SHEQ requirements. 
  • To ensure you complete the full sequence of events on PDA and the completion of jobs for invoicing.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide a high-quality service to Choice tenants, specifically within domestic properties that are either occupied or void.

  • To attend all relevant training courses, including all health and safety
  • To work in accordance with any training and instructions given and bring to the attention of the employer any shortcomings and defects in the management systems and protective measures

Facilities Team Leader

Equans is looking for a Facilities Team Leader to join our team in Woodland View Hospital - Irvine on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Responsible for carrying out and controlling the day to day planned maintenance, reactive repair, minor project works and procurement of materials and contracted works within Woodland View Hospital, based primarily within the Woodland View Hospital on a permanent basis with flexibility required to support other Equans sites as and when requested by the Contract TSM.
  • To work in accordance with the requirements of Equans rules for the Safe Operation of Low Voltage, Mechanical, Pressure, Water, Medical Gas and Confined Spaces.   • Actively participate in the operation and control of all planned maintenance schemes in support of the business and contract needs.
  • Manage responses to any unplanned events in a timely fashion and in accordance with the SLA response and rectification time’s thus ensuring minimal failures resulting in financial penalties and contractual service failure points.
  • Supervise, control planned and reactive electrical/ mechanical maintenance tasks, carry out small work and variation requests, and any other tasks deemed reasonable and within the capabilities of the individual at the request of the senior management team. This will include but is not limited to, electrical systems, generators, emergency lighting.

Who are we looking for?

  • Must have successfully completed a recognised Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship and have previous experience in a similar role carrying out maintenance duties.

Electrical Shift Maintenance Supervisor

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Shift Maintenance Supervisor to join our Facilities Management team working at a prestigious central government building in Westminster. This is a permanent role working 4 on 4 off shifts, an average of 38.5 hours per week, from 0700 to 1900 with an unpaid one hour break.


The role:

  • Reporting to the M&E Service Manager
  • Supervise/manage all reactive and maintenance tasks carried out in the delivery of the contract, including KPI monitoring and CAFM input
  • Ensure work is carried out to the highest standards and all statutory legislation is complied with
  • Plan work for trade staff/contract labour. Supervise trade staff/contract/labour/contractors to ensure work is completed to a defined standard, within agreed time and budget 
  • Report any non-conformance practices or faulty equipment; ensure all Health and Safety, COSHH and permit to work systems are adhered to at all times
  • Work closely with the onsite Facilities Manager and liaise with the client regarding operational M&E updates
  • Make recommendations of replacement parts and materials to ensure equipment and building availability
  • Ensure accurate and prompt completion of any associated paperwork or electronic documentation
  • Must be trained and appointed in at least 2 disciplines to hold and maintain AP/RP responsibilities
  • Working an average of 38.5 hours per week,  4 on 4 off shifts, from 0700 to 1900 with an unpaid one hour break.  

The person:

  • Experience in a similar FM environment or blue-chip business site is desirable
  • Must hold a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical discipline with suitable industry experience; must have Electrical test and inspection 18th edition
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, able to build and maintain relationships with the client service team
  • Familiarity with Maximo or similar CAFM systems is desirable
  • Must have a good understanding of health & safety best practice; formal training an advantage

• Carry out repair/modification/replacement work within contract scope, as instructed by Supervisors/Management.

• Participation in the Call Out Rota.

EQUANS are recruiting for a Groundworker to be based in Belfast. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £27,560, plus a van & fuel card and benefits package.

General Overview

  • To undertake the duties/responsibilities as a Groundworker to the standards set out by the contract. 
  • To carry out the duties as a Groundworker in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. 
  • To assist the Foreman in producing a quality product within the contract period. Understand, implement and adhere to EQUANS SHEQ requirements. 
  • To ensure you complete the full sequence of events on PDA and the completion of jobs for invoicing.
  • Efficient use of the Impact system.
  • To adhere to the Client contract KPI’s and, target dates and timeframes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide a high quality service to NIHE tenants, specifically within domestic properties that are either occupied or void.
  • To undertake all elements of a Groundworker, and where required undertake roof work.
  • Undertake where required other multiskilled duties.
  • To attend all relevant training courses, including all health and safety
  • To work in accordance with any training and instructions given and bring to the attention of the employer any shortcomings and defects in the management systems and protective measures
  • To use protective equipment, substances and tools/equipment in accordance with instructions and training given
  • Assist with the adherence to the Company quality standards including:
  • Compliance with specification and SOR codes
  • Adherence to the sequence of events for each job on the PDA.
  • Ensure van stock is processed and managed accordingly
  • Ensure that your work is carried out the highest quality and within a reasonable amount of time.

Mechanical Building Services Shift Engineer

Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Building Services Shift Engineer to join our maintenance team at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. This is a permanent full-time role working an average of 40 hours per week on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern of days & nights.

 

The role:

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager / M&E Supervisor
  • To deliver mechanical planned and reactive maintenance and scheduled installation works
  • To provide technical engineering support for the Hard FM Services department and carry out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
  • To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI’s
  • To oversee specialist sub-contractors, and manage contractors as necessary, working to a safe system of work and permit-to-work system
  • To undertake AP/RP duties for the disciplines for which you have been appointed
  • To cover for other technicians as necessary
  • To participate in the on-call rota, and carry out overtime as required
  • Working an average of 40 hours per week on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern of days and nights.

The person:

  • Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
  • Must have extensive experience of building services in a maintenance role and knowledge of air handling plant and water hygiene is required
  • Experience in a Healthcare environment is advantageous with knowledge of medical gases
  • Must be willing to attain cross skilling.  
  • Ability to read technical drawings and diagnose technical faults
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal; IT literate
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Must have a good understanding of health and safety best practise; formal training an advantage.
