Equans is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Rotherham on a permanent basis. What will you deliver?
- Carry out all types of repairs and maintenance work in a multi-skilled environment allied to the Electrical trade discipline
- Completion of repairs and maintenance in other trade disciplines where deemed competent to complete these
- Attend repairs and maintenance appointments on time and complete works on the first occasion, in one visit and within target times
- Responsibility for the safe use and condition of the Company’s tools equipment and fleet vehicles
- As and when required, diagnose necessary remedial works, make appointments/arrangements and organise materials required
- Minimise disruption, mess and dust to the customers home and possessions and leave in a clean and tidy condition using cleaning materials and equipment as necessary

Mobile Fabric Engineer
Equans is looking for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our team on the HMCTS contract covering Central London on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
What will you deliver?
You will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Fabric and limited Engineering Assets. Ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities. Duties will include but won't be limited to:

- Inspect /repair free standing and fitted furniture
- Inspect/clear drainage and gully systems

Shift Electrician
EQUANS are recruiting for a Shift Electrician to be based at the Royal Infirmary Edinburgh. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. On offer is a competitive salary, substantial shift allowance and benefits package.
General Overview
Working directly to the Electrical Supervisor, the post holder will have the required skills to ensure the safe and continuous operation of mechanical, electrical engineering services and building plant as part of a flexible maintenance team, including specialist subcontractors to deliver work to the highest of standards for our clients.
The main responsibilities include efficiently and effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets. Work will be assigned from a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule or in response to a reactive work order raised by our client representatives or our own personnel on site. All planned and reactive tasks will be managed through to completion, including fault diagnosis and sourcing parts where applicable. Must be able to demonstrate that awareness of best working practices and that these are always followed. Additional duties to include, working and managing backlog works, assisting when required for specialist projects.
Working as part of a wider M&E team, there may be a requirement to undertake other tasks that may not be specifically related to electrical systems.
Key Accountabilities
- Actively participate in the operation and control of all engineering planned maintenance schemes and undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities to plant and non-medical equipmen
- During training and under supervision, you will undertake fault finding on complex medical gas systems, low pressure heating water systems, critical systems and equipment and pressurized steam systems. Using cause effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution and use of all relevant drawings and schematics.
- During training and under supervision, carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and commission and test in accordance with published procedur
- Complete all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and mark up any drawing alteratio
Complete all Task/Risk Assessment sheets relating to work.
- Use of all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works ensuring full compliance with Equans Guidelines and Controls g. Risk Assessment, Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection and Hazardous Substances.
- During training and under supervision, carry out emergency repairs as required (which may require overtime).
- Obligation to undertake training where necessary to learn new techniques and technology.
- Understand the relationship of other maintenance crafts to this rol
- Monitors the building services and report defects to the Technical Supervis
- Provide feedback on PPM results in relation to building related PPM issues and Fire Safety.
- Awareness and understanding of contract KPI’s to ensure compliance and effective service delivery
- Communicate with wards/departments to ensure awareness of planned/re-active works in their area and ensure completion to their satisfaction.
- Ensures that all activities proceed in a safe manner compliant with Statutory Regulation, CDM, Good Practice, etc by compiling procedures, monitoring standards and maintaining records.

Chemistry General Duties Assistant
Equans is looking for a Chemistry General Duties Assistant to join our team in Torness Power Station EH42 1QS on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.
Shift times: 08.30 - 16.30 Monday to Friday
What will you deliver?
To support the Chemistry Department as directed from the Business Services Lead and Chemistry Group Head.
- Chemical tanker unload supervision
- Boiler feed ammonia / hydrazine dosing tank preparation
- Routine cleaning - Main Lab / Reactor Chemical Monitoring Room / Gas Lab / ESG office gas lab
- Emergency Shower and eyewash flushing (various locations)
- Biocide tank level checks / tank preparation
- Collection samples from plant as directed
- Deeper clean labs monthly – soap and buffer, dusting
- Supporting CPP/WTP planned resin changes

Equans is looking for a Fabric Craftsperson to join our team in Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham B15 2GW on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.
4 on 4 off shift, with the 4 on made up of two days 0700-1900 and two nights 1900-0700

Electrician
EQUANS are recruiting for an Electrician to be based in Belfast. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £31,800 company vehicle and benefits package.
General Overview:
A person with a proven track record of Electrical installations, repair and maintenance work. Further specifications below.
- Understand the aims and objectives of EQUANS and your service area, together with your role in service delivery.
- Ensure that the services provided are to the highest quality/standard with due recognition of client and customer requirements and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with EQUANS’s customer care values and Equal Opportunities Policies.
- Planning and prioritising work within recognised safe systems and in accordance with all aspects of health and safety legislation at all times.
- Participate in a team working approach to the allocation of duties, supporting and working effectively with colleagues to provide good working relationships within the service.
- Undertake any training as identified through the performance review process continually seeking improvement and developing best practice.
- Adhere to and apply legislation and EQUANS procedures as appropriate.
- Undertake other reasonable duties (with competence and experience) as requested, in accordance with changing organisational directives.
Impact:
- To carry out efficient and cost-effective installation/repair and maintenance of domestic, commercial electrical installations, annual servicing, minor works schemes, in the EQUANS’s Building Portfolio.
- Ability to interpret design drawings, electrical circuit diagrams, manufacturers specifications and instructions.
- Fault diagnosis and rectification of sub-standard installations in accordance with current regulations i.e. IEE 18th Edition regulations.
- Ensure all works conform to the requirements of EQUANS’s Safe Systems of Work for Low Voltage work, and BS 7671:2018 and complete all appropriate documentation and test certificates.
- Carry out repair/modification/replacement work within contract scope, as instructed by Supervisors/Management.
- Completion and timely submission of appropriate documentation.
- Ensure that standards and quality of work produced is in accordance with best practice and fit for purpose.
- Be actively involved in the development of apprentice training.
- Participation in the Call Out Rota.
