Interviews at Equans

Will my interview be face to face or virtual?

We currently use a combination of interview methods.  Depending on the role you have applied for you may be asked to attend a virtual interview which will usually take place using Microsoft Teams.

How can I prepare for my interview?

Firstly, get to know your CV.  Make sure you feel prepared to answer questions about your experience and qualifications as well as the type of role and development you are looking for in the future.  Some of our questions will be competency based which aim to find out how you have used specific skills in your previous experience and how you approach problems, tasks and challenges.  Think about how you might answer these questions using the STAR method to make sure you cover as much relevant information as possible.

What competencies will be assessed at my interview?

Equans core competencies are:

  1. Act and challenge the status quo
  2. Adopt inspiring behaviour on a daily basis
  3. Cultivate and give responsibility
  4. Deliver results
  5. Prepare the future

Your interview will focus on the competencies which are most critical to the role which you have applied for however these 5 competencies underpin the setting of objectives and performance management at Equans.

We want you to feel confident that Equans would be a great place for you to work.  We know that the interview is as much an opportunity for you to get to know us as it is for us to get to know you.  You can find out all about Equans through our corporate website and social media channels and you’ll be given an opportunity to ask any questions you might have during your interview.
