Account Manager

Equans has been awarded a prestigious £140 million contract to deliver a state-of-the-art, low-carbon student accommodation project for the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Equans is looking for an Account Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for all operational staff, budgets and performance, including statutory compliance of the Facilities Management services within the contract, maintaining a close liaison with the SPV Client and University, ensuring day to day requirements of delivering the FM contract are met.

Management of the University Accommodation and customer service delivery, fostering an attitude of service excellence. The provision of a one stop seamless service to all student residents, tenants (Student Union and Gym), visitors, stakeholders and clients alike.

To work collaboratively with the SPV Client and University to maximise occupancy and deliver service excellence through the management of key relationships with stakeholders and students.

The post holder will be responsible for contractual performance in accordance with agreed budgets, compliance with the Key Performance Indicators; whilst continually enforcing cost efficiencies and maximising value received.

What will you deliver?

Ensure the smooth running of the accommodation facilities, including the safety and wellbeing of residents, tenants, visitors and employees
Develop and build positive relationships with residents, tenants and visitors. To ensure students receive excellent service and enjoy a positive experience during their stay in the accommodation
To deliver high quality services ensuring added value, increased productivity, and cost efficiencies wherever possible and encourage innovation from all departments to provide ongoing service improvements
Responsible for the effective management of statutory compliance and contractual performance, including the incurrence of financial penalties, to ensure that all services are delivered to the contract specification and that all changes, developments and additional services are recorded accordingly with the commercial activity of the contract
To exercise financial and commercial controls in the management of expenditure and income within agreed budgets and take remedial action where appropriate. To maximise profitability of operations and deliver ongoing cost savings
To formulate suitable strategies, in conjunction with the SPV and Client to mobilise and meet the demands of service provision, ongoing improvement and adaptation to changing processes and environments. To ensure that resources within the accommodation are efficiently managed
To plan the turnaround period from student departure to summer school arrival, liaising with colleagues to ensure that the accommodation is ready to the required standard, often within the required timeframes
To regularly audit both quality standards and the condition of the accommodation, liaising with colleagues to ensure improvements are made promptly, where needed. To ensure that resident damage is attributed correctly to meet with agreed procedures
Responsible for recruitment, induction and ongoing training, development and motivation of staff. To establish and maintain a staff development plan on an individual and strategic organisational level. To define, set and monitor the objectives for the facilities services and each of the post-holders where appropriate, ensuring their maximum contribution to the business
To formulate budgets, business plans and departmental strategies to meet the demands of service provision and continuous improvement
The effective management of all HR related issues for staff ensuring the close liaison with the contract’s HR Manager to ensure that all issues are dealt with in accordance with company procedures and timescales, including probationary and performance reviews, absence, disciplinary, and performance management appraisals
To manage the business cost effectively with respect to supply chain efficiency in order to achieve best value for money in the procurement of services and goods
Responsible for the effective management of all associated subcontracted services, to ensure that subcontractors are able to carry out their duties in a safe and timely manner, that work is contractually compliant and that all associated paperwork is completed, including regular service reviews
To oversee all quotations, estimates and tenders for additional work, ensuring the accurate preparation and processing of all accounts following completion of projects/events within the specified areas
Manage the process to produce Life Cycle plans in line with the contract specification and associated works following the production of the plan. Work closely with the SPV Client to complete works inline with industry standard guidelines
To monitor and control payroll and related expenses to ensure that costs are kept to an absolute minimum and within the budgeted guidelines
To research, produce and coordinate the attainment and retention of environmental management certification, undertaking research and introducing initiatives for reducing the impact of the FM operations on the environment

FM Operations Compliance Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an FM Operations Compliance Manager to join our Facilities Management team at the Roche Products site in Welwyn Garden City. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Mon to Fri from 8am to 5pm.

Key Activities:

Reporting to the Contract Manager / Contract Director
To ensure a standardised approach to the provision and recording of FM operational services and be responsible for the effective management and governance of Hard FM Services compliance within the building environments, inclusive of statutory PPM performance, compliance document management and control, adherence to internal directives and any associated business accreditations.
To ensure that the site complies with all H&S management and compliance
Responsible for delivering safety management in line with SHEQ policies ensuring company returns are reported within timelines; representing the contracts in the client Health and Safety meetings.
As a part of the operational team, to implement, manage & maintain the necessary compliance tracking tool to ensure adherence to statutory engineering, SLA performance, and Business accreditations and continuity plans in accordance with contractual requirements.
Proactively plan and manage the PPM activity across the contract ensuring that all client contractors are in place to complete the required PPM activities when due throughout the calendar year and that they are suitably inducted and supervised when on site in line with the client / site operational procedures.
Provide accurate and regular updates/reports on compliance status to the portfolio's senior management team; ensure the accuracy of all Compliance Trackers and provide regular status updates on non-complaint issues.
Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

Skills & Qualifications:

Must have prior management experience and technical qualifications to C&G / NVQ and relevant industry Health & Safety qualifications

The state-of-the-art MITC - consisting of manufacturing, laboratory, plant rooms, clean rooms and offices - is responsible for the development and manufacturing of Moderna’s pharmaceutical products. What will you deliver?

To be accountable for the financial performance of the contracts
To ensure personnel manage the contract to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
To ensure that all risks relating to safety, health, environment and quality are effectively managed through the use of risk assessments, PPE, training and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and clients
To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with Equans Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements (or approved client system)

Project Manager

Equans is looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Wakefield on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

Project Management, ensuring all Projects are managed, operated, and completed with uncompromised efficiency, on time and to budget.
Liaison with all relevant parties involved with Projects, including working with the Client to interpret and develop a brief/scope of works in order achieving sign off prior to works commencement, planning, during the works and through to completion.
Full financial responsibility for circa £4M in revenue.
Follow the Company and on-site development’s process ensuring all relevant documentation is prepared/completed including the provision of costs, programmes, risk analysis, PPP works documentation etc.
Ensure all Project files are maintained to provide a fully auditable administrative trail in line with ISO accreditation.
Produce an overall plan for works (including design, procurement, PPP pack review and sign off, works/construction, commissioning, training etc) for the Project to ensure the completion date is achieved and without incident.
Procure competent Contractors to carry out the design, works/construction, and commissioning of the proposed development.
Monitor the progress of the design, works/construction and commissioning activities and action accordingly to ensure the works are completed within the time, budget, and safety and to the required quality.
Liaison and management of the performance of preferred suppliers/subcontractors to include controlling, scheduling, and coordinating sub-contractors working on site, ensuring all Company and on-site procedures are followed such as Inductions, CRB clearance, competence etc.
Carry out Project review meetings in line with Project Management good practice.
Remain customer focused at all times. Deliver value for money and ensure the agreed profit percentage is made on all Projects.
Provide management information as required to support decision making.
Provide regular updated financial reporting and reconciliations on Projects.
Deliver Projects to the highest level ensuring all relevant KPI’s and SLA’s are met and adhered to.
Delivering all types of Projects such as Small Works Lifecycle & Variations.
Provide added value to the client where possible provided it is not to the detriment of the main contract.
Seek out innovative methods/tools to deliver Projects more effectively.
Ensure all work activities are carried out safely and in accordance with statutory and corporate regulations and legislation, Healthcare Standards and Specifications, as well as Lend Lease Global Minimum Requirements.
Ensure all data and management information is maintained and communicated accurately to agreed deadlines by the Head of Facilities, EQUANS Management colleagues or as requested by the client.

Commercial Manager

The Commercial Manager will provide an influential pre and post contract commercial management service to a portfolio of contracts within the Education sector. Who are we looking for?

Suitable commercial experience within a similar industry sector (FM/PFI) ideally ‘education’
Understanding and practical application of base UK law applicable to Commercial (Construction Act etc).

Energy & Sustainability Manager

EQUANS have an exciting opportunity for an Energy & Sustainability Manager to join our team at Southern Water in Worthing, West Sussex. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What will you deliver?

Reporting to the Account Director
Implement energy & sustainable strategies across EQUANS Southern Water operations.
Support the implementation of initiatives that align with Equans' commitment to energy & environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and ethical business practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into business processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure Equans remains at the forefront of sustainable practices within the FM (Facility Management) and Digital Energy Services (DES) business units.
Implement long-term sustainable strategy that aligns with corporate goals within the sites allocated.
Stay updated on government regulations and ensure all company practices meet or exceed mandated standards.
Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, to promote sustainability efforts.
Monitor sustainability metrics and compile reports for senior management outlining the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
Undertake an analysis of annual energy consumption, to improve energy & water efficiencies.
Produce annual energy report summarising energy consumption for the previous years, forecast consumption for coming year and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Provide energy management services, which have ENISO 50001 and EN ISO 14001or equivalent accreditation.

Who are we looking for?

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an FM environment, but not essential
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as energy, sustainability environmental management/ science, business engineering.
Good knowledge of energy, environmental regulations and sustainability standards, and reporting frameworks (e.g. ESOS (Energy savings opportunity scheme), SECR (Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting)
Experience navigating & ensuring compliance with local, national energy/sustainability regulations is essential.
Demonstrated ability to engage with and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, regulatory bodies, and community groups
Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel and Outlook
Good communicator with strong inter-personal skills
A full, valid UK driving licence is essential

Combustion & Mechanical Operations Manager - Mobile

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Combustion & Mechanical Operations Manager to join our Mobile Maintenance Engineering team. The mobile team in London supports reactive and PPM maintenance activities across all the sites we currently operate ranging from schools, universities and hospitals to major Government buildings across Greater London and the South East. Please note this is a mobile role with travel across sites/contracts in London and surrounding areas.

The role:

Reporting to the Contract Manager
To manage and oversee the Gas & M&E services provided by our mobile team
Responsible for the management and delivery of the combustion and mechanical team to ensure we provide a quality service and are recognised for engineering excellence.
Project manage large projects which involves travelling to sites following CDM regulations
Manage client relationships and business development, ensuring visibility on sites
Management of subcontractors relating to gas & M&E work
Responsible for quotations, renewal and formulation of contracts to support the growth of Equans mobile solutions, integrating into existing and new contract opportunities
Full responsibility for ensuring reactive, PPM and project work for Gas & M&E are being completed and closed off in the time required
Working with Contract Manager and commercial to manage budget allocation
Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with participation in the management call out rota

The person:

Qualified at the appropriate level in a building services related discipline, must have understanding of CDM and a Good understanding of statutory compliance regulations
Strong technical background inclusive of gas, HVAC
Experience of using a CAFM system and be computer literate and able to use MS Office competently
Must have experience managing projects up to £250k
Strong Health & Safety background
Must be used to being client facing with excellent communication skills
Able to obtain DBS clearance and Met police clearance
Full clean driving license is essential – must be willing to be mobile and to travel to sites

Contracts Manager

What will you deliver?

To ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across the stakeholder groups

Operations Manager

Equans is looking for an Operations Manager to join our team at University Hospital Lewisham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the cost effective management of all Engineers and sub-contracted planned and reactive maintenance labour across M&E, Building Fabric and Grounds Maintenance disciplines.

Management of resources through the use of the Maximo databases, financial management through to invoicing. Estates Department compliance reporting systems, collation of estates information, management of specialist service providers, asset database, Insurance registers and scheduling of planned preventative maintenance in conjunction with and support of the Estates management team.

The post holder will effectively manage processes and develop and implement standards for the site set by the Company and PFI contract.

To contribute to the contract by maintaining the standards and quality assurance documentation

What will you deliver?

Management of all self delivered engineering sub-contracted labour resource in the delivery of PPM schedules and Reactive maintenance request
Use of and administration of Estates I.T. Systems i.e. Labour Management Systems, Building Management Systems, Planned Preventative Management Systems and Stock Control Systems and other databases to ensure the efficient utilisation of staff and resources
Management of the site insurance register inspection schedules undertaken by sub-contracted labour force, ensuring all operational pressure systems plant and lifting equipment has associated written schemes of inspections assigned and maintenance schedules are programmed into the Estates IT System
Review existing and devise new PPM regimes for site assets to ensure optimum operational availability and life cycle
Management of operational revenue budgets to maintain agreed expenditure levels and report on any discrepancies. Draft Management reports, client and monthly reports as required
Liaise with other managers to ensure efficient delivery of out sourced PPM schedules to ensure continuity of service and projects delivery
Review available bonded stores stock levels to ensure sufficient materials, replacement parts and consumables are available at all times to maintain operational site plant and equipment
Provide labour management, reactive and planned maintenance reports and identify where sub-contract resources need to be adjusted to meet operational requirements
Review and specify sub-contract service level agreement and liaise with the Procurement department with regards to negotiating and appointment of suppliers
Undertake training for Authorised and Responsible Persons roles for specialist service delivery streams e.g. Medical gases, Water Management, Asbestos
To assist the General Manager in implementing energy saving campaigns to promote the efficient use of energy utilities
To assist the General Manager in the delivery of compliant site services and projects
To assist in the General Manager in the development of capital replacement programmes for plant, equipment and fabric in line with technological developments and PPM best practice
Take part in the management out of hours, on-call roster
To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy Statement, Manual and Safe Systems of Work
