Mobile Water Treatment Technician

Equans is looking for a Mobile Water Treatment Technician (Tier 2) to join our team in The South of England. The ideal location to be based will be able to cover from Reading down to Hampshire, into London and the South East. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week. What will you deliver?  

  • Representing EQUANS Water Compliance as a Water Treatment Technician to execute the self-delivery of all Water Treatment services across the South and South East of the UK
  • As a Tier 2 Water Treatment Technician - You will encompass Tier 1 (Temperature Monitoring, Showerhead Descales, Cold Water Storage Tank Inspections and Cleans, Cooling Tower Clean and Disinfections, TMV Servicing, Water Sampling) and Tier 2 (Dosing of Inhibitor and Biocide, LTHW Systems Testing and Analysis)
  • Carry out PPM service visits using appropriate tools and systems
  • Ensure all site L8 logbooks where acting as the Primary Technician are in date and accurate
  • Liaise with procurement for material purchases using preferred supplier’s list

Who are we looking for?

  • City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent qualification relevant to the appropriate Tier grading under job specific
  • Post qualification experience
  • Up to date knowledge of technical regulations including Water Supply Regulations/Byelaws, L8 ACOP. HSG274 and any other relevant guidance
  • Fault diagnosis and resolution
  • Valid driving licence

FM Operations Compliance Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an FM Operations Compliance Manager to join our Facilities Management team at the Roche Products site in Welwyn Garden City.  This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Mon to Fri from 8am to 5pm.

Key Activities:

  • Reporting to the Contract Manager / Contract Director
  • To ensure a standardised approach to the provision and recording of FM operational services and be responsible for the effective management and governance of Hard FM Services compliance within the building environments, inclusive of statutory PPM performance, compliance document management and control, adherence to internal directives and any associated business accreditations.
  • To ensure that the site complies with all H&S management and compliance
  • Responsible for delivering safety management in line with SHEQ policies ensuring company returns are reported within timelines; representing the contracts in the client Health and Safety meetings.
  • As a part of the operational team, to implement, manage & maintain the necessary compliance tracking tool to ensure adherence to statutory engineering, SLA performance, and Business accreditations and continuity plans in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Proactively plan and manage the PPM activity across the contract ensuring that all client contractors are in place to complete the required PPM activities when due throughout the calendar year and that they are suitably inducted and supervised when on site in line with the client / site operational procedures. 
  • Provide accurate and regular updates/reports on compliance status to the portfolio's senior management team; ensure the accuracy of all Compliance Trackers and provide regular status updates on non-complaint issues. 
  • Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have prior management experience and technical qualifications to C&G / NVQ and relevant industry Health & Safety qualifications
  • Excellent organisational skills and not afraid to challenge

What will you deliver?

  • To be accountable for the financial performance of the contracts
  • To ensure personnel manage the contract to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • To ensure that all risks relating to safety, health, environment and quality are effectively managed through the use of risk assessments, PPE, training and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and clients
  • To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with Equans Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements (or approved client system)
  • To review monthly audit checks demonstrating legislative compliance within scope of service delivery streams and to escalate to the portfolio director as necessary
  • To ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across the stakeholder groups
  • To ensure all PPM and reactive tasks are carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the CAFM system

  • To work with operational management to develop performance measurement and improvement objectives in line with business plan through positive collaboration

Commercial Manager

Equans is looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team in the North West on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

The Commercial Manager will provide an influential pre and post contract commercial management service to a portfolio of contracts within the Education sector. The Commercial Manager will manage numerous stakeholder relationships, including those client representatives; Equans operational teams running the contracts and other colleagues who provide functional support to the contracts (e.g., risk, finance, legal and HR etc.). What will you deliver?

  • Identifying, monitoring, and reporting on risks.
  • Supporting the management and mitigation of risks at all levels (operational, financial, commercial, technical, etc).
  • Management of jeopardy management process.
  • Management of variation/change control.
  • Repository for confidential/commercially sensitive information.
  • Leading governance within the contracts to ensure that the requirements of the contract are being complied with.
  • Aiding the quality of service by ensuring awareness of contractual responsibilities among all other Equans colleagues (including contract deliverables, scope of services etc.).

  • Implement energy & sustainable strategies across EQUANS Southern Water operations.

  • Implement long-term sustainable strategy that aligns with corporate goals within the sites allocated.
  • Stay updated on government regulations and ensure all company practices meet or exceed mandated standards.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, to promote sustainability efforts.
  • Monitor sustainability metrics and compile reports for senior management outlining the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.

  • Produce annual energy report summarising energy consumption for the previous years, forecast consumption for coming year and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an FM environment, but not essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as energy, sustainability environmental management/ science, business engineering.
  • Good knowledge of energy, environmental regulations and sustainability standards, and reporting frameworks (e.g. ESOS (Energy savings opportunity scheme), SECR (Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting)

Combustion & Mechanical Operations Manager - Mobile

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Combustion & Mechanical Operations Manager to join our Mobile Maintenance Engineering team. The mobile team in London supports reactive and PPM maintenance activities across all the sites we currently operate ranging from schools, universities and hospitals to major Government buildings across Greater London and the South East. Please note this is a mobile role with travel across sites/contracts in London and surrounding areas.

The role:

  • Reporting to the Contract Manager
  • To manage and oversee the Gas & M&E services provided by our mobile team
  • Responsible for the management and delivery of the combustion and mechanical team to ensure we provide a quality service and are recognised for engineering excellence.
  • Project manage large projects which involves travelling to sites following CDM regulations
  • Manage client relationships and business development, ensuring visibility on sites
  • Management of subcontractors relating to gas & M&E work
  • Responsible for quotations, renewal and formulation of contracts to support the growth of Equans mobile solutions, integrating into existing and new contract opportunities
  • Full responsibility for ensuring reactive, PPM and project work for Gas & M&E are being completed and closed off in the time required
  • Working with Contract Manager and commercial to manage budget allocation 
  • Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with participation in the management call out rota

The person:

  • Qualified at the appropriate level in a building services related discipline, must have understanding of CDM and a Good understanding of statutory compliance regulations
  • Strong technical background inclusive of gas, HVAC
  • Experience of using a CAFM system and be computer literate and able to use MS Office competently
  • Must have experience managing projects up to £250k
  • Strong Health & Safety background
  • Must be used to being client facing with excellent communication skills
  • Able to obtain DBS clearance and Met police clearance
  • Full clean driving license is essential – must be willing to be mobile and to travel to sites

Operations Manager

Equans is looking for an Operations Manager to join our team at University Hospital Lewisham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the cost effective management of all Engineers and sub-contracted planned and reactive maintenance labour across M&E, Building Fabric and Grounds Maintenance disciplines.

Management of resources through the use of the Maximo databases, financial management through to invoicing.   Estates Department compliance reporting systems, collation of estates information, management of specialist service providers, asset database, Insurance registers and scheduling of planned preventative maintenance in conjunction with and support of the Estates management team.

The post holder will effectively manage processes and develop and implement standards for  the site set by the Company and PFI contract.

To contribute to the contract by maintaining the standards and quality assurance documentation

What will you deliver?

  • Management of all self delivered engineering sub-contracted labour resource in the delivery of PPM schedules and Reactive maintenance request
  • Use of and administration of Estates I.T. Systems i.e. Labour Management Systems, Building Management Systems, Planned Preventative Management Systems and Stock Control Systems and other databases to ensure the efficient utilisation of staff and resources
  • Management of the site insurance register inspection schedules undertaken by sub-contracted labour force, ensuring all operational pressure systems plant and lifting equipment has associated written schemes of inspections assigned and maintenance schedules are programmed into the Estates IT System
  • Review existing and devise new PPM regimes for site assets to ensure optimum operational availability and life cycle
  • Management of operational revenue budgets to maintain agreed expenditure levels and report on any discrepancies.  Draft Management reports, client and monthly reports as required
  • Liaise with other managers to ensure efficient delivery of out sourced PPM schedules to ensure continuity of service and projects delivery
  • Review available bonded stores stock levels to ensure sufficient  materials, replacement parts and consumables are available at all times to maintain operational site plant and equipment
  • Provide labour management, reactive and planned maintenance reports and identify where sub-contract resources need to be adjusted to meet operational requirements
  • Review and specify sub-contract service level agreement and liaise with the Procurement department with regards to negotiating and appointment of suppliers
  • Undertake training for Authorised and Responsible Persons roles for specialist service delivery streams e.g. Medical gases, Water Management, Asbestos
  • To assist the General Manager  in implementing energy saving campaigns to promote the efficient use of energy utilities
  • To assist the General Manager in the delivery of compliant site services and projects
  • To assist in the General Manager in the development of capital replacement programmes for plant, equipment and fabric in line with technological developments and PPM best practice
  • Take part in the management out of hours, on-call roster
  • To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy Statement, Manual and Safe Systems of Work

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven background in Facilities Management
  • A proven track record working in Healthcare
  • Strong Commercial awareness
  • Previous experience with PFI
  • CDM
  • High level of verbal, written and numeric skills and must be computer literate. 
  • Must be able to work with all stakeholders and operational staff, be self-motivating, able to work on own initiative, liaise and delegate effectively with staff operating in a multi-disciplinary environment

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
