We have an exciting opportunity for an M&E Maintenance Team Leader to join our facilities team working on our Greater Manchester Police maintenance contract at Eccles police station and covering various police stations across Greater Manchester as required. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, plus participation in the on call rota.
The role:
- Reporting to the Hard Services Manager

To carry out maintenance duties as instructed to the highest
standards according to contract specifications - To establish and maintain good working relationships
- To manage all first line interaction with the Hard Services Team in a formal and informal capacity
- To coach and develop employees to ensure all are trained effectively in process and procedure
- To schedule and assign duties to employees, and ensure the highest quality of work is achieved
- To manage employee holidays to ensure effective coverage at all times
- Ensure SLA compliance with works raised and carried out
- Carry out regular health and safety checks across all sites within the contract
- To provide additional support and cover in work as and when required
- Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch break plus participation in the on call rota
The person:
- Experience in a similar multi-sited role
- Must have a full valid UK driving licence due to requirement to travel between sites across Greater Manchester

various locations - Must be able to pass relevant vetting levels for the client in question

Electrician
Equans is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Somerset at Hinkley Point B on a permanent basis for our EDF contract. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
The Electrician is responsible for delivery of all aspects of Electrical work that falls under the responsibility of Equans. This will consist of project related work, testing routines, enhancement work and preventative maintenance routines. All carried out within strict safety, quality, time and cost parameters.

• Preferable experience in working from Mobile Platforms inc’ IPAFF qualification or equivalent.

Maintenance Electrician
Equans is looking for 3x Maintenance Electricians to join our team in Blackburn on a permanent basis for our Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
Based at Royal Blackburn Hospital, the Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for
The Maintenance Electrician will complete electrical and some mechanical engineering activities and undertake duties for which their trained and competent to do. There is a Technical Services management team based on site that can offer specialised technical advice and who can liaise with the appropriate levels of management to facilitate all works and activities are delivered and managed in accordance with all relevant regulations and guidance.
• Carries out electrical planned and reactive maintenance on all on site infrastructure.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and develop excellent professional working relationship to ensure a smooth running of the business.
• Organise works allocated in a timely manner and work supportively with the team.
• Carry out operational activities in a manner that ensures personal safety and in a manner that does not endanger the safety of others.

• Diagnose, fault-find, commission systems, monitor and assess ongoing machine/facility performance, through Planned Preventive Maintenance programme, identifying any additional works required.
• Assist in installing, commissioning, and servicing plant, equipment and specialist healthcare/ patient equipment.
• At all times maintain a smart appearance and professional manner that is representative of EQUANS in the workplace.

The primary complexities of the role are around the management of the workflow from helpdesk/ CAFM system through to completion and sign off. We are looking for a driven individual to add expertise and dimension to the FM team. They will be able to demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in responding to changing business requirements and will establish good working relationships with their team members. Qualifications and Required Experience:
• Apprentice trained and qualified/experienced in relevant trade (Electrical)
• Basic computer literate.
• Experience particularly in the healthcare environment. (Desirable)

• Health & Safety courses qualifications (i.e. company or industry standard).
• Experience of working with contractors.

• Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely.
• Experience of working within safe systems of work (SSOW) – permit to work, induction process, etc.
• Preferably experienced with HVAC, Pump systems, Lighting and Power, Fire Alarms, IPS, UPS, BMS, Generation, Passenger/ Goods Lifts, Switchgear.
• Good knowledge of It based systems such as Microsoft Office and CAFM based hand held devices.
• Sound knowledge of the practical implementation of Health & Safety.
• Experience of working within a Healthcare environment desirable but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence required.

General Overview
To carry out the duties as a Heating Engineer in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. Plumber
EQUANS are recruiting for a Plumber to be based in Oldham. This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £33,551 plus van & fuel card and benefits package.
General Overview
To carry out the duties as a Plumber in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. To assist the Team in producing a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract and in a safe manner. Adhere to all requirements set by SHEQ team, policy, and strategy.
Be part of an on-call Rota to cover Out of Hours breakdowns as required.
Key Accountabilities
- To complete high quality repair and maintenance works and deliver high levels of customer service on a daily basis

Electrician
EQUANS is looking for a Electrician to join our team in Manchester on a permanent basis. This is a fulltime role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
To carry out the duties as an Electrician in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. To assist the Team in producing a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract and in a safe manner. Adhere to all requirements set by SHEQ team, policy, and strategy.
What will you deliver?
- Carry out various Electrical tasks to a high standard as instructed by the company including:
- Replacement of Consumer units.
- Installing final sub-circuit wiring.
- Fault finding
- Replacement of final circuit accessories (sockets light switches etc).
- Replacement of light fittings in line with manufactures instructions.
- Testing in line with current edition of wiring regulations (BS.7671)
- Fault finding and carrying out remedial works in accordance with current regulations.
- Be competent in completing all relevant and current certification for example (EICR EIC and Minor works)
- Carryout maintenance and repairs to SFG20- specification
- Assist with the adherence to the Company quality standards including:
- Compliance with specification
- Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules
- High quality Customer Care must always act in a polite and professional manor.
- Maintain and care for all company tools
- 1st time fix to be achieved wherever possible
- To use appropriate safety equipment
- To wear appropriate clothing / uniform
- To ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day
- To be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy
- To be responsible for holding keys where appropriate
- Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc.
- Material co-ordination & correct use of van stock
- Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant documentation required on the contract
- Any other reasonable management request

Maintenance Electrician
Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team working at two University of Cambridge research and teaching facilities in Cambridge city centre working 40 hours per week from 07:30 to 16:00. Monday to Friday. This is a foot mobile role across the two buildings on the site.
Key activities:
- Reporting to the M&E Supervisor
- To provide the safe operation, planned and reactive maintenance of electrical services plant and equipment
- To carry out the installation of new electrical equipment as required i.e. minor new works, refurbishment and capital works replacement programme
- Investigate, trouble shoot and rectify defects for all electrical systems and associated plant/components or if unable to do so, arrange specialist external staff or subcontractors
- Experienced in all types of design and installation techniques with the ability to appraise problems and the capability to rectify them.
- Ensure prompt and accurate completion of all associated paperwork
- To participate in the Appointed Persons role for an identified discipline
- Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 16:00
Skills, qualifications & experience:
- Must hold a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical discipline with suitable industry experience
- Competent Person L8 experience
- Asbestos Awareness

M&E Supervisor - Water
Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to look after the Water & Contractors side to join our Facilities Management team at North Middlesex University Hospital in Edmonton. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Mon to Fri.
The role:
- Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager
- To supervise the water management and specialist contractors and internal fabric team
- To undertake complete management of all PPM’s
- Use of the Maximo CAFM system.
- To plan work for trade staff/contract labour. Supervise trade staff/contract/labour/contractors to ensure work is completed to a defined standard, within agreed time and budget.
- Assist Site Management in issuing POs for reactive, remedial, and Life Cycle works and co-ordinating works with Sub-Contractors.
- Required to undertake training and qualify as AP and/or CP if required.
- Order materials and services as required within agreed delegation level and certify satisfactory delivery/completion
- Requirement to work with tools as necessary
- Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with participation in the call-out rota system to assist the Company in responding to emergency situations.
Skills, qualifications & experience:
- Must hold a recognised Electrical or Mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Electrical or Mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge of all water HTM’s whereby you will be appointed as the site's water RP - Legionella L8 qualification essential
- Will have significant experience in a building services environment
- Will be a team player ideally with prior supervisory / management experience
- Will be client-focused with a delivery oriented and ‘can-do’ approach to work
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of the various trade groups to be managed i.e. building works, mechanical and electrical engineering
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to obtain DBS clearance
