EQUANS is looking for a Notice Processing Clerk to join our team in Grimsby. This is a full time permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week. We offer a salary of up to £23,400 plus benefits package.

 

What will you deliver? 

General Overview:

  • Deal with service requests and processing Penalty Charge Notices
  • Provide support to the Senior Notice Processing Clerk in the provision of an effective and efficient administration and Notice Processing service
  • Need to be articulate, enthusiastic, committed and highly organised with a proven track record in contributing and working within a busy team. Flexibility and the ability to respond to the changing demands of the business as well as the ability to multi-task are vital
  • Ensure that the reputation of the Partnership is maintained

Key Responsibilities: 

The role will focus on the following requirements:

  • Council to progress cases to full debt recovery by enforcement agents, meeting all legislative and local deadlines
  • To be able to interpret legislation, the appeals framework and associated Notice Processing Policy and be able to effectively communicate this information to members of the public
  • Process and respond to incoming correspondence at all levels       
  • Assist in the processing of all permits
  • Assist in the preparation of financial and statistical information were necessary
  • Deal with service requests and telephone enquiries from a variety of customers, sometimes in tense situations

Financial Accounting Team Leader

Equans is looking for 2 Financial Accounting Team Leader's to join our team in Newcastle, one role is permanent the other a 12 month FTC. Both are full-time role's working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Through leadership of team of Assistant Accountants, the role holder will take ownership of the company balance sheet and provide continuous improvement to centrally run processes. Support the Financial Accounting Team in month end processes and the Business Partners and the Business by posting journals, providing reports, analysis and insights in support of management decision making.

  • Ensure month end timetable and financial accounting SLAs are met

Trainee Customer Experience Liaison Officer

General Overview

Equans are looking to recruit a number of trainee Customer Experience Liaison Officer positions which will be based on sites supporting customers throughout refurbishment works to their home across the North East of England.  We are particularly looking for candidates with strong customer service skills who would be willing to train in the construction industry. The purpose of the role is to  provide effective liaison between the Site Team and members of the public affected by our work and to assist in the smooth running of contracts and provide a personalized Customer Liaison

support.

  • To provide Handover Packs and instruct on new installations
  • Advise Site Manager directly and immediately of any situations that have, or are likely to, cause conflict with tenants

Contract Administrator

Equans is recruiting for a Contract Administrator to be based in Avondale House, Bellshill. This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

What will you deliver? 

  • Answering telephone calls, communicating with Engineers, Customers, suppliers and sub-contractors as and when required
  • Assigning work to soft services providers to ensure all consumables, waste, window cleaning, Pest Control, contractual obligations are met fully
  • Collating meter readings, chasing engineers for completion, and associated reporting
  • Daily reactive reporting to the client
  • Assigning subcontractor reactive work orders to the relevant subcontractor
  • Ensuring Sub-contractor Planner is accurately maintained at all times
  • Completion of the monthly client performance dashboard report
  • Raising Purchase Orders and receipting invoices with meticulous attention to detail
  • Problem solving – assisting with operational problems and finding a resolution through CAFM systems, Coupa, SAP, Egencia etc
  • Assisting the Account Manager with all aspects of the operation including but not limited to booking travel, organising meetings, completing Spreadsheets and writing performance reports
  • Proficient IT skills; with the ability to use various computer packages proficiently, including, SAP, Planon, Coupa, Word and Excel.(Training on SAP/Planon & Coupa).  Also accessing and updating Customers Portals
  • Other administrative duties as required to support business needs

Equans UK&I has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Counsel within its Places and Communities  (“P&C”) division. P&C is a division of Equans UK&I which offers refurbishment housing services to a broad range of public and private sector clients; and sustainable energy management.  This role reports directly into the Head of Legal for the P&C division. You will also work closely with the P&C legal and business teams especially business development, commercial and senior management and externally with counterparty legal advisers, Equans UK&I’s external legal advisers, contract counterparties and customers. You will be required to provide timely, high quality, practical and commercially focused legal advice, balancing legal risk with the commercial needs of the business.

What will you deliver? 

 

  • Providing commercially focused legal advice on a broad range of projects ensuring compliance with applicable law.
  • Reviewing, negotiating and/or drafting agreements and conducting contract negotiations with project counterparties primarily for construction, refurbishment and related services.
  • Supporting on commercial and contractual matters for tenders, projects, variations and on-going contractual and operational matters.
  • Assisting on the governance of transactions at local and Equans’ group level.
  • Working closely with colleagues throughout the Equans’ group and with customers.
  • Managing external legal resource as required.

Financial Reporting Accountant

Equans is looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join us on a permanent basis, located at our offices in Newcastle Upon Tyne or Rotherham. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

This is a key financial role covering the Equans UKBU perimeter, delivering specialist technical accounting the providing support to lead and manage a team in the delivery of statutory accounts and audit reporting as well as the management of technical accounting queries and changes to policies/IFRS standards.  

What will you deliver?

  • Provision of technical accounting support to the Business, demonstrating sound knowledge of the application of IFRS, addressing queries on accounting methodology, challenging proposed accounting and ultimately ensuring appropriate application of Group financial accounting policies, preparing technical accounting papers as audit evidence where necessary;
  • Review of a) new accounting standards, determining impact, adoption approach and any training needs, as well as b) existing UKBU accounting policies to ensure continued adherence and relevance and consistency throughout the UKBU;
  • Delivery of technical financial project work e.g. production of completion accounts, balance sheet reconciliation tidy-up, improvement of internal control processes, procedures and controls etc;
  • Supporting to lead, manage and develop the External Financial Reporting Team in the delivery of high-quality external reporting including the production of annual statutory accounts to statutory deadlines;
  • Managing an operational level relationship with the auditors, ensuring the quarterly, interim and annual audit requirements progress to agreed timelines and conclude smoothly;
  • Production of industry specific regulatory reporting including Cabinet Office submissions, Office of National Statistics reporting and IAS 19 pension reporting;
  • Assistance in the scrutiny of journal entries to ensure the source data is as accurate as possible prior to the audit process commencing;
  • Planning and execution of step plans in relation to the liquidation of surplus entities within the UK BU, performed in accordance with UK law and UK GAAP;
