Account Director
Equans is looking for an Account Director to join our team in London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
This role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of Contractual and Technical Services to the Clifford Chance Contract. The Clifford Chance contract is of high importance to Equans and delivers critical FM services via the onsite team, specialist contractors and with support from the wider Equans Business in a safe and effective way.
Reporting to the Operations Director the post holder will manage several small accounts in and around London and manage 5 direct reports. The Account Director will be expected to be on site 4 days per week in Canary Wharf.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience at Account Manager or Director level within the FM industry, previous experience holding P+L responsibility, building strong client relationships and team management.
What will you deliver?
- Develop and maintain a healthy business relationship with the Client which includes promoting Equans Business capabilities, building trust and maximises growth opportunities
- Work with on-site teams to ensure Services are delivered and Stadium Events are adequately supported in the most efficient and effective manner ensuring all contractual KPIs, SLAs & deliverables are achieved, taking positive steps to address where not
- At the start of each financial year, to develop Business Plans which outline strategic and tactical goals for the success of the Contract. As a minimum, this should include Operational, Safety, Financial, Business Continuity Planning, Energy and Sustainable initiatives
- Continuously drive continuous improvement programmes, promoting and deploying technologies in line with a Smart Buildings ethos
- Ownership, preparation and timely submission of all MI, Reports and Risk Registers into the Customer and Business
- Ensure all operational, safety, people and financial targets and forecasts are achieved across the contract and where necessary develop detailed recovery plans to address underperformance
- Develops, recommends, implements standard operating procedures and policies to economise service delivery across the Contract while increasing productivity
- Oversees supply purchasing for the Contract ensuring compliance to budget, and policy. Deploy, maintain and account for onsite inventories via the onsite teams
- Drive and constantly promote a safety-first culture ensuring Statutory Compliance of the Contract at all times and the Safe Working of all Equans employees and contractors when on site
- Ensure all elements of employment procedures and processes, including disciplinary & grievance, attendance management and performance management are adhered to in accordance with Company policies
- Responsible for employee development, succession planning, employee empowerment and talent management across teams including support for talent pipelines ie. Apprenticeships
- Management of all non-conformances (NCR’s) across the Contract
- Managing and organising the Responsible Business plan for the BU across the Contract

Facilities Manager
Equans is looking for a Facilities Manager to join our team in Sidcup on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary bonus and benefits package.
The role holder will be responsible for all aspects of TFM service delivery at the site.
Lead the engagement with building users groups and employee forums to understand perceptions of performance of the services and how the services could be better tailored to the client for the future. In addition to this will also be the responsibility of the delivery of Additional Works that are identified as a result of our delivery.
Liaising with the Customer, on-site Teams, internal Equans departments/teams and Sub-Contractors to ensure the TFM contract at site level is delivered within the terms of the contract. This role will have a emphasis on customer service and will be point of contact for all site related activity, making sure the service is delivered and compliant with company procedures.

Account Director
Equans is looking for an Account Director to join our team on a 12 month FTC basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The role holder will provide leadership across all elements of the CCEP contract with a strong focus on service delivery, commercial matters and client relationship management.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Account Director will be the senior lead for communicating and delivering the strategic direction across the contract.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Executive Director, the project management office (PMO), the Lifecycle team, the SHEQ team, and other supporting teams to deliver the lifecycle and variations works across the contract.
The Account Director will be responsible for the quality of services and the business plan on an ongoing basis and will ensure that we reach optimal service delivery and deliver continuous improvement throughout the life of the contract. You will attend the Strategic Partnering Board on a quarterly basis and the Operational Delivery Board meetings monthly as well as providing a regular senior management presence in support of his/her management team.

Technical services supervisor
Equans is looking for a Technical Services Supervisor to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The primary purpose of the role is to supervise and manage a team of static/mobile engineers, making sure that all PPM and Reactive Works are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications and EQUANS processes and procedures.
The position is to ensure that all required Building Engineering services as per the Engineering Building strategy is carried out. The position will require you to provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the post holder will deliver of all specialist engineering services activities obligations under the Contract, Plan, deliver and review all aspects relating to the provision of specialist engineering services carried out by internal engineering staff and subcontractors, implement operational policies and procedures in line with our contractual obligations, ensure that all specialist equipment /stores are held in safe and secure manner.
What will you deliver?
- To effectively manage a team of engineers carrying out all aspects of maintenance in accordance with KPIs/SLAs in a safe working manner
- As a Technical Supervisor, provide timely support to maintain the highest standard of statutory compliance. Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in accordance with the EQUANS Environmental Health & Safety policy, quality, sustainability and energy efficiency related standards, including Legionella Management
- Ensure KPIs are achieved and reported on
- Assist in producing all required documentation to ensure that any incidents are recorded and escalated as per the requirements of the contract
- Act as a Appointed Person / Responsible Person for Technical Disciplines, as required
- Manage the engineer’s data and job details in accordance with client and EQUANS requirements to ensure that the Computer Aided Facilities Management System (CAFM) is maintained to a current and accurate status to ensure the highest level of operational resilience and completion of works
- Assist the Technical Services Manager in the first instance in the supervision of sub-contractors and specialist providers where required and liaise with all other parts of the Project Teams to support project activity. Manage and deliver Lifecycle projects
- Participate in the 24/7 maintenance cover (including on call rota) of the Building Engineering Services during normal and emergency activities, assisting in the preparation of emergency and contingency plans. Participate in emergency plans and provide written reports as required
- Identify and manage a Critical Spares strategy
- Carry out sub-contractor audits and awareness
- Manage and co-ordinate all statutory maintenance activities
- Supporting specific area team members as required

Energy and Sustainability Manager
Equans is looking for an Energy & Sustainability Manager to join our team at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Energy & Sustainability Manager will be responsible for managing energy at QA Hospital alongside improving sustainability through energy usage optimisation and waste minimalization. They will be responsible for supporting the delivery of EQUANS Beyond Net Zero plan whilst supporting the Trust with their plans for the NHS Greener Agenda and reaching net zero by 2040. They will stay up to date with the latest energy and sustainability policies and technologies and manage energy optimization and sustainability improvement projects.
The role is suitable for post-graduate students who are ready to start their career, ideally with a degree specialising in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Energy, or a related field.
What will you deliver?
- Work with PHU to support the Trust to achieve their targets in the NHS greener agenda
- Prepare reports on environmental performance and assist and submit PHU reports, including the Energy Investment Report. Manage onsite Environmental Site inspections, highlighting any bad and good practice to the relevant teams and Senior Management
- Identifying training and upskilling required for staff on sustainability and our impact on the environment
- Monitor and management of waste, including waste licenses and monthly reporting of waste. Develop a waste minimisation plan to reduce waste generation
- Ensure environmental policies are followed and identify potential areas of improvement. Identifying relevant innovative technologies to improve the site
- Undertake site inspections and audits to improve the environmental performance of the site. Implement energy consumption optimisation through BMS and produce recommendations to Estates manager on changes required
- Collaborate with internal teams (Estates, BMS, procurement, projects, soft FM) to integrate sustainable practices into operations. Engage with external stakeholders (PHU and THC) to work towards their sustainability targets

Soft Services Manager
Equans is looking for a Soft Services Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Soft Services SME will lead on ensuring a consistent approach is applied to the delivery of Soft Services across the contract, through the design and continuous improvement of the soft services delivery programme. The role will be responsible for the development of the business case and to support the Regional Teams to meet contract deliverables and achieve SLA’s. As the main point of contact for HMCTS Head of Soft Services, they will ensure effective business relationships are established and maintained with all key stakeholders, customers, partners, contractors and other third parties to deliver first class services.
The post holder plays a critical part in interacting with and supporting the Regional Management teams to ensure successful delivery of Soft Services across the estate, management of the supply chain including grounds maintenance and be the SME for driving improvements in productivity and quality.
The post holder will lead the design and delivery of soft services, inclusive of the management of the performance of the national soft services contract as well as subcontractors totalling £4 million across the following activities:

What will you deliver?
- Report to the senior leadership team on a monthly basis on a programme of improvement in soft services
- Support the wider ETS South business with soft services improvements
- Chair a network of soft services individuals for cross fertilisation of soft services innovations
- Engaging with the operational team and other stakeholders in a proactive manner in order to lead the management of the National Soft Services contract made up of over 1200 staff
- Lead and finalise a proposal to deliver mobile cleaning teams in support of covering absence within each region, in addition to reviewing cleaning equipment, bins and cleaning hours
- Deliver a development strategy of BICS Level 1 training programme across the contract
- Liaise with Waste sub-contractors to develop waste minimisation plans and reduction of waste to landfill and report to senior management
- Provide a client facing training programme for waste minimisation
- Support the Energy Manager in the creation and management of the Sustainability Management plan, identifying opportunities with the supply chain
- Update and develop cleaning task cards
- Develop the use of Ezi-tracker and support the Soft Services Co-ordinator to improve exceptions with Facilities Supervisors
- Monitor financial performance against the budgets for consumables and materials at site level
- Identify requirements for cleaning equipment, support the Procurement Manager on governance approval and manage subsequent roll out
- Undertake routine audits of self-delivery and subcontracted performance
- Support bid & tender exercises for additional work
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Act as the social value champion for the contract

Who are we looking for?
- Degree in Facilities Management, Business, Engineering or other relevant degree
- BICS – Assessor and up to level three

Key activities:
- To lead projects, delivering project solutions to budget, time and quality requirements. Assistant Technical Services Manager (Fabric)
Equans is looking for an Assistant Technical Services Manager (Fabric) to join our team at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The role is based at the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) which is due to start delivering clinical services in 2024. The new facility incorporates high level of modern services and technology both in terms of healthcare delivery and building management. Equans are working closely in partnership with the Trust to ensure the completed facility is of a good quality and able to provide a sustainable service to the area not only in respect to healthcare provision but also providing a diverse value to the local community.
The role is to assist the Technical Services Manager (TSM) in the provision and deliver of a high-quality maintenance service. The role will also include assisting in the operation, repair and maintenance of building fabric and engineering services while working within a multi-disciplinary hard service team environment. Due to the wide range of services and systems installed within the building the role requires a wide range of skills and flexible nature but also provides the opportunity to work in a very rewarding environment with continued opportunity for learning and development.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager (Fabric), the post holder will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the maintenance services in accordance with the requirements of the Maintenance services Agreement with Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust.
Responsible for the effective management of trade staff ensuring all maintenance activities comply with the statutory, NHS, Trust, and Company guidelines.
The post holder will also collaborate and co-operate with the Trust to deliver customer focused, cost effective and efficient maintenance service.
Whilst the role will be based at the MMUH Equans are also responsible for the maintenance of other sites within the Trust’s estate and it is possible that the post holder will be required to work at other sites and may be requested to vary hours to cover shifts patterns where needed to cover annual leave and sickness.
What will you deliver?
- Support the TSM in ensuring Building Tasks are closed out in timely manner, assisting with the other trades (Mechanical & Electrical) when the need arises
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines
- Assist in the review and development of the quality of service at an operational level and Control expenditure as delegated by the Technical Services Manager (TSM)
- Positively manage relationships with stakeholders and Trust representatives to enhance perception of service provision
- Ensure Planning and scheduling all planned preventative maintenance activities for the building team is completed using the Maximo system
- Give additional support with financial controls with reference to departmental budgetary control, stock, contracts etc
- Responsible for the safety of plant, equipment, and infrastructure and for safe working practices
- Contribute to ensure that plant and equipment data and information is delivered in an accurate and timely manner
- Responsible for bringing to the attention of all Senior Management any unsafe working conditions, working practices, unsafe plant or equipment encountered during the execution of duties including reporting on the company AIMS system
