Receptionist
Equans is looking for a Receptionist to join our team in Motherwell on a permanent basis. This is a part-time role working Monday to Friday 08:00 - 13:30. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.
The role holder will work at a busy reception desk. They will be responsible for sign posting members of staff, public and visitors to relevant services and businesses within the building. They will be responsible for recording and reporting repairs, orders and telephone enquiries, security, keeping both electronic/paper diaries and reporting directly to the property manager.

Assistant Commercial Manager
Equans is looking for an Assistant Commercial Manager to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.
The Assistant Commercial Manager will support the commercial delivery across a portfolio of complex contracts (PFI), working closely with the Account Directors/Managers. They will assist in the contract commercial management, delivery of contract action plans (profit improvement), risk and opportunity management along with focus on contract compliance.
The Assistant Commercial Manager will support in the management of numerous stakeholder relationships, including external relationships with clients, suppliers and internal Business Unit leadership and functions.
What will you deliver?
- Assist in analysing/managing risk, including assessing revenue opportunity vs cost & risk
- Assist in drafting and managing the commercial viability of variations
- Assist in negotiations for multiple disciplines including supplier negotiations & sub-contractor flow-downs
- Base knowledge of contract law and its application in services and construction
- Assist in modelling and testing contractual KPIs and Payment Mechanisms
- Sound financial acumen (P&L), good understanding of financial modelling, contract pricing and differing pricing models
- Assist in producing reports and summaries (ad hoc and regular) which can articulate key matters for a senior and/or non-commercial audience
- Support in defining, driving, and overseeing commercial & contract governance
- Commercial management of TFM and Minor Construction related works from inception through to completion
- Support in governance within the contracts to ensure that the requirements of the contract are being complied with
- Aiding the quality of service by ensuring awareness of contractual responsibilities among all other EQUANS colleagues (including contract deliverables, scope of services etc)
- Assisting in the search for efficiencies and service optimisation
- Enforcing commercial compliance (by audit and support against EQUANS’ Minimum Commercial Standards)
- Supporting the management of cash under their contract sector
- Taking a key supporting role in the management of contractual claims / disputes with clients and other third-parties
- Assist in Production of claims to any potential contentious contractual issue that may arise
- Supporting the identification, management, and mitigation of risks at all levels associated with bidding new contracts
- Ensure all functions comply with regard Governance process within the contracts and DLAs (Delegated level of Authority)

CAD Operator
Equans is looking for an CAD Operator to join our team in Stoke on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Auto CAD Operator performs a variety of design/drafting/space planning, room moves and lighting configurations activities group including preparing/updating installation drawings for projects, preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings, establishing guidelines and procedures for CAD data management, and managing workload distribution within the CAD department. Ideally also experienced in Bolster although training will be given.
What will you deliver?
- Survey and update existing ‘as built’ drawings
- Convert drawings to DWG format.
- Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, in collaboration with other teams to ensure consistent documentation of the projects.
- Ensure documentation is held for all aspects of the O&M manuals
- Update and maintain elecronic filing systems.
- Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (such as drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and performance guarantees) for future reference.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third party items. Review and modify information with supervision by the Compliance Manager/Account Director / Project and Planning Managers (both Equans and Client side).
- Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings.
- Other duties as required relating to CAD database maintenance etc.

Electrical Service Maintenance Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Service Maintenance Manager to join our maintenance team working at a prestigious central government building in Westminster. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
The role:
- Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager - Property Services
- To efficiently manage the provision of Electrical Hard Services according to contractual and commercial requirements.
- To manage all operations to ensure the health and safety of all users of the facilities; to build a relationship of trust with all stakeholders; to build a skilled team that is motivated and engaged.
- Effectively manage processes and develop and implement standards for the site set by the Company and PFI contract.
- To have a good understanding of the PFI contract (PA/CS) – in particular Sch 21
- To build a skilled, collaborative team, that is motivated and engaged to deliver a quality of service that is ”best in class”.
- To manage projects, variations and lifecycle works from inception to completion as required: providing and maintaining all documents, O&M’s/drawing and warranties
- To manage all subcontracted services ensuring subcontractors are able to carry out their duties in a safe and timely manner and that work is contractually compliant.
- To successfully manage all aspects of the PFI contract, in compliance with legislative and contractual requirements, ensuring that all QSE standards are met.
- Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.
The person:
- Must have significant experience in a similar role i.e. hard services FM background, ideally in a similar environment
- Relevant industry qualifications ideally to HND level or above in electrical engineering is essential
- Ability to manage workforce teams and strong knowledge in HR managed processes
- Good level of commercial awareness desirable
- Hold a minimum IOSH Health & Safety qualification
- Experience of sub-contractor management
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Desirable to have held government security clearance
- Desirable to have prior experience working on a PFI contract

Service Manager - Hard FM
Equans is looking for a Service Manager - Hard FM to join our team in Brighton on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of up to £50,778.00, dependent upon skills and experience, and benefits package.
The post holder will manage a team of 2, and responsible for the cost-effective management of all subcontracted planned and reactive maintenance labour across M&E and Building Fabric disciplines. Responsible for site compliance reporting systems, collation of information, management of specialist service providers, asset database, Insurance registers and scheduling of planned preventative maintenance in conjunction with and the support of the Operational site management team. To liaise with the client team as required, attending meetings and delegating as required.
What will you deliver?
- Responsibility for site management team, engineering team and of all sub-contracted labour resource in the delivery of Reactive maintenance request
- Use of and administration CAFM (Maximo) system, Labour Management Systems, Building Management Systems, Planned Preventative Management Systems and Stock Control Systems and other databases to ensure the efficient utilisation of staff and resources and that financial targets are met/exceeded
- Management of the site insurance register inspection schedules undertaken by sub[1]contracted labour force, ensuring all operational pressure systems plant and lifting equipment has asscociated written schemes of inspections assigned and maintenance schedules are programmed into the site Maximo System, and hard copy folders where applicable
- Review existing PPM’s and if required, devise new PPM regimes for site assets to ensure optimum operational availability and life cycle
- Collating documents for populating details for LCF planner and equipment replacement, assisted by site project manager and admin support.
- Management of operational revenue budgets to maintain agreed expenditure levels and report on any discrepancies
- Provide labour management, reactive and planned maintenance reports and identify where sub-contract resources need to be adjusted to meet operational requirements

Commercial Manager
Equans is looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team in the North West on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The Commercial Manager will provide an influential pre and post contract commercial management service to a portfolio of contracts within the Education sector. The Commercial Manager will manage numerous stakeholder relationships, including those client representatives; Equans operational teams running the contracts and other colleagues who provide functional support to the contracts (e.g., risk, finance, legal and HR etc.). Furthermore, they will have direct line management for the Assistant Commercial Manager (ACM) based in Liverpool.

- Supporting the management and mitigation of risks at all levels (operational, financial, commercial, technical, etc).

Compliance Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join our Facilities Management team at the Roche Products site in Welwyn Garden City. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Mon to Fri from 8am to 5pm.
Key Activities:
- Reporting to the Contract Manager / Contract Director
- To ensure a standardised approach to the provision and recording of FM operational services and be responsible for the effective management and governance of Hard FM Services compliance within the building environments, inclusive of statutory PPM performance, compliance document management and control, adherence to internal directives and any associated business accreditations.
- To ensure that the site complies with all H&S management and compliance
- Responsible for delivering safety management in line with SHEQ policies ensuring company returns are reported within timelines; representing the contracts in the client Health and Safety meetings.
- As a part of the operational team, to implement, manage & maintain the necessary compliance tracking tool to ensure adherence to statutory engineering, SLA performance, and Business accreditations and continuity plans in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Proactively plan and manage the PPM activity across the contract ensuring that all client contractors are in place to complete the required PPM activities when due throughout the calendar year and that they are suitably inducted and supervised when on site in line with the client / site operational procedures.
- Provide accurate and regular updates/reports on compliance status to the portfolio's senior management team; ensure the accuracy of all Compliance Trackers and provide regular status updates on non-complaint issues.
- Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have prior management experience and technical qualifications to C&G / NVQ and relevant industry Health & Safety qualifications
- Excellent organisational skills and not afraid to challenge
- Relationship management skills and ability to be a team player
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Computer literate and ability to process and understand various information sources
- Must be committed to safety, have excellent attention to detail and ability to take ownership and responsibility

Premises Manager

We currently have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a Premises Manager to join our Facilities Management team covering the two St Anne schools in Enfield and Palmer's Green (upper and lower schools). This role is working 40 hours per week, from 06:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday
The role:
- Reporting to the Contract Manager
- To actively participate in the delivery of both Hard and Soft FM Services, acting as the first point of onsite contact to attend to requests through the facilities service helpdesk and other support functions
- To respond promptly to helpdesk events, applying relevant maintenance skills to any jobs/tasks, ensuring they are completed within the required time scales and liaising effectively with the end user to ensure customer satisfaction.
- To provide an effective and professional 24 hour / 7 day service to a single site / across multiple sites, working both on own initiative and as part of a team whilst adopting a flexible attitude to your place of work.
- To manage and co-ordinate the staff and premises
- To ensure statutory compliance checks are being completed and compliance log books are updated accordingly
- Management of the external lettings
- Ensuring sufficient consumables, materials and equipment are available to support the delivery of services, in particular cleaning
- Working 40 hours per week, from 06:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday
The person:
- Experience in a similar supervisory/managerial role essential, ideally in an educational environment
- Good customer care and people skills
- Able to work independently and in a proactive manner, with the ability to manage own time to ensure activities are completed within agreed time frames
- Excellent handyperson skills with PPM and reactive delivery experience
- Valid driving licence essential to travel between the two sites
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
- Able to obtain Enhanced DBS check due to working alongside children

Technical Services Manager
Equans is looking for an Technical Service Manager to join our team in Merseyside on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.
Covering the North West Fire & Rescue portfolio of 16 PFI fire stations from Cumbria to Merseyside the TSM will be responsible for the technical performance and maintenance of standards within the contracts.
They will provide guidance to others on site, showing technical expertise in mechanical, electrical and fabric systems, to ensure appropriate and compliant solutions and efficient customer service delivery. Manage a team of engineers to ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations.
What will you deliver?
- Planning and implementation of change to improve service and operational quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure customer focused service delivery, contractual and procedural compliance across the PFI contracts with regards to the following aspects of the Contract:
- Ensure the provision and maintenance of a high level of Mechanical / Electrical / Support to our Clients.
- Ensure up to date accurate asset management and support to the Life Cycle Manager in complying with the contract life cycle requirements.
- Manage a team of engineering staff in order to maintain the sites to contractual and acceptable standard.
- Form part of the RP/AP roles as required by the contracts
- Offer technical support as required to the business.
- Ensure all statutory obligations are maintained in line with current legislation.
- Management of Reactive works to ensure contractual timescales are met.
- Management of PPM to ensure contractual / statutory timescales are met.
- Management of the engineer’s day to day work schedules
- Manage the organisation of Statutory Inspections to ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.
- Completion of Health and Safety audits in line with agreed programme including follow up action and reporting.
- Staff management including monitoring, induction and actions where necessary.
- Sub-contractor management.
- Ensure records are maintained, up to date and available via Contract Network Drive or similar.
- Understand and meet ongoing customer requirements, develop effective working relationships with business partners, suppliers and subcontractors.

Account Director
Equans is looking for an Account Director to join our team in Manchester on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The Account Director will be responsible for the quality of services and the business plan on an ongoing basis and will ensure that we reach optimal service delivery and deliver continuous improvement throughout the life of the contract. Attend the Strategic Partnering Board on a quarterly basis and the Operational Delivery Board meetings monthly as well as providing a regular senior management presence in support of the management team
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Account Director will be the senior lead for communicating and delivering the strategic direction across the contract.
What will you deliver?
- Work closely with the Executive Director, the project management office (PMO), the Lifecycle team, the SHEQ team, and other supporting teams to deliver the lifecycle and variations works across the contract.
- Provide leadership across all elements of the Manchester Joint Hospitals Contract with a strong focus on project delivery, commercial matters and client relationship management.
- Maintains strong customer experience and satisfaction
- Builds and sustain collaborative relationships with all stakeholders in Project Co, Sodexo and the Trust
- Leads on all commercial and financial negotiations with Project Co in line with the company Delegated Levels of Authority (DLA)
- Develops and maintain an annual Life Cycle plan, short and long term Life Cycle plan in collaboration with our central Life Cycle team.

- Develops challenging but achievable budgets for the operations including profit improvement plans for the project.
- Ensures financial and operational compliance in line with annual budgets set.
- Works as part of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for developing an efficient organisational structure, strategy setting, client relationship building, business development and project management.
- Leads, directs and motivates the Equans team to enable contribution to the best of their ability and maximise their potential
Business Growth
- Supports any business plans for the project that delivers profitable growth for the project.
- Develops project growth through capital project works and other projects in line with the company business objectives and contract deliverables
