Finance Business Partner

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our team working flexibly under a hybrid model both in the office and at home. The will sits within our street lighting and highways electrical infrastructure business 'Connected Cities'.  

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for supporting the General Manager, in providing a full management accounting services and delivering professional, timely and accurate financial reporting & forecasting service to our Connected Cities business unit. The role will be based in our Sittingbourne office.

Key activities: 

  • Produce timely, accurate, and compliant production of monthly management accounts pack
  • Monitor, track and evaluate the operational expenses in the month and recommend efficiencies where possible
  • Prepare and post monthly journals including accruals & prepayments
  • To perform forecasts, budget preparation and variance analysis
  • Support operational management with detailed contract reviews including cost analysis
  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of schedules for year-end audit purposes
  • ensure invoices are raised in accordance with contracts and company policies
  • To manage debt collection, WIP recovery and review of BIA
  • Oversee the rolling cash flow reporting and evaluation 

Skills, qualifications & experience:

  • Previous experience with operational management accounts
  • Must be able to evaluate complex data and have sound problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively multitask and work unsupervised
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Must be willing to travel to multi sites to support operational teams
  • Ideally CIMA or ACCA part-qualified (or working towards)

Customer Liaison Officer

Equans is looking for a Customer Liaison Officer to join our team in Lincolnshire on a permanent basis.

This is a full time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • To provide consultation and support to residents prior to, during and after works to their homes,ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Managing the customer/resident journey whilst following the client and company engagement procedures
  • To develop effective working relationships with residents, clients, subcontractors, site-based personnel, local stakeholders, the local community and the Customer Care Department
  • Carry out choice events, consultation events and individual consultation with residents regarding future work.
  • Carry out individual resident inductions to include - introduction to Equans, the CLO/RLO
    process, scope of works, property and personal belongings condition surveys inclusive of photographs for evidence
  • Complete resident profiling and work with the site management team to implement effective working practices and discuss with the Client’s customer care team where appropriate
  • Agree access arrangements with the resident and book appointments to enable the work to their home
  • Organise and provide support needs: packing boxes, dust sheets, storage and other facilities
    as required and agreed.

Network/Telecoms Engineer

Equans is looking for a Network/Telecoms Engineer to join our team at EDF at Heysham Power Station for a 12 month Fixed-Term contract. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

Working within the Network& Telecoms Team you will be responsible for carrying out repairs, planned installations and maintenance work on the Station Telecoms& IT Network.

Main Responsibilities:

Effect repairs to the Network as required. Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities at the request of the Team leader. Complete new installation works, complete all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and mark up any drawing alterations. Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with published procedures. Complete all Task/Risk Assessment sheets relating to work.

Technical Competence:
• Must demonstrate a methodical approach to tasks and plan accurately
• Able to follow technical drawings and plans specifications, schedules, and manufacturer’s details.
• Numerical ability for measuring and making calculations (material estimates and measurements)
• Knowledge of a broad spectrum of Telecommunication systems.
• Knowledge of the safe operation of basic hand and power tools
• Understand Network principles and topologies (LAN/WAN), data communication protocols, network operating platforms with respect to the Station and organisational standards.
• Ensuring provision of networked infrastructure services meet international compliance, integrity, security, and availability standards.
• Liaison with the Help Desk with respect to resolving problems within defined service levels; action of Work Order requirements assigned by the Equans Workflow Process.
• Understanding of broad spectrum of Telecommunications Systems, comprising; Digital Radio (DMR), Conventional/IP Telephony, Public Address, Analogue Digital CCTV, Broadcast standard digital media systems and Radiopaging.

Industry Qualifications:
• Must have been a registered apprentice or undergone some equivalent method of training
• Practical training in the Networks & Telecoms Technical Discipline
