Planner

EQUANS are recruiting for a Planner to be based in Oldham. This is a 6-month FTC full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

The role of the planner is to support the contract supervisors by scheduling and planning the work for a team of multi-disciplined operatives/ engineers, ensuring the operatives / engineers are fully utilised, jobs are closed in a timely manner and appointments are booked in for any works not completed at first visit.

Key Accountabilities

Carry out various tasks to a high standard as instructed, including but not limited to:

  • Scheduling appointments through Equans IT system currently Castleton Maintain
  • Ensuring the operative / engineer is fully utilized throughout the day
  • Arranging follow on appointments for any jobs not completed on first visit.
  • Closing jobs in the system complete or cancelled as the day unfolds.
  • Clear critical numbers report daily
  • Communication with operatives / Engineers on site
  • Written and verbal communication with MCC / Northwards
  • Dealing with the repairs chase mailbox
  • Customer Satisfaction surveys
  • Work in any workstream as required
  • Any administration task to support the planning role

Assist with the adherence to the Company quality standards including:

  • Compliance with Equans procedures and processes
  • Maintain and care for all Equans property
  • To wear appropriate clothing / uniform
  • To ensure areas of work areas left clean and tidy at the end of the day
  • Liaison with all stakeholders
  • Material co-ordination
  • Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant documentation
  • To oversee/assist in the training of new starters as required

Finance Analyst

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our Commercial team  on a 12 month fixed-term contract based out of our office at Addenbrooke's Treatment Centre in Cambridge. The Management Accountant will be responsible to assist the Commercial Finance Manager with business partnering and management and control of this Hard FM contract.

This position also offers a great opportunity for candidates who are still looking to complete their ACCA or CIMA qualification; we will endeavour to provide full support in this area.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Taking responsibility for the production and management of monthly financial results (P&L and balance sheet). Leading, with input from relevant budget holders, the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the contract(s) and risk analysis
  • Presentation of meaningful trends and variance analysis to enable stakeholders to make informed decisions
  • The production and analysis of indicators based on all business areas, such as invoicing, debt, personnel, purchasing, allocations, productivity, and stock control, and notify managers of trends
  • Preparation of the monthly core service fee invoice and other invoices based on contractual information and operational records on non-core activity
  • Monitoring and chasing of debt with clients with a view to optimising cashflows in accordance with contractual arrangements
  • Leading the preparation and review of the pricing of variation quotations prepared for the client.  Driving initiatives for income maximisation and economies in cost
  • Reviewing and driving the contract for general auditing of financial and non-financial obligations as well as for responding to operational queries
  • To produce the year end the statutory audit justification as required
  • Working 40 hours per week from 08:45 to 17:45, Monday to Friday

The person:

  • Ideally CIMA or ACCA part-qualified or working towards it with proven experience in management accounts
  • Financial diligence and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and take initiative to work independently
  • A professional level of self-management and desire to get things done/progressed
  • Strong communication skills with confidence to question assumptions
  • Flexible approach and willingness to travel to multi sites

Civil Enforcement Officer

EQUANS is looking for a Civil Enforcement Officer to join our team in Grimsby. This is a full time permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week. With a salary of up to £22,733 plus benefits package.

A driving license is essential for this role.

Equans is North East Lincolnshire Council’s long-term delivery partner providing a range of services on their behalf, including planning, highways, property, facilities management, design and technical services.

Equans are looking to recruit a Civil Enforcement Officer to their team who is confident and motivated working as part of team of to patrol all permanent and temporary parking places (both on and off street) to ensure compliance with relevant traffic legislation by issuing penalty charge notices or warning notices, when required.

The role will include the need for the individual to demonstrate the ability to work as an individual or as a member of a team, and have the ability to communicate calmly and effectively with members of the public in potentially challenging situations when undertaking patrols and issuing penalty charge notices. 

The role will be part of a rota entailing a combination of days, evenings and weekend shifts averaging 37½ hours per week which will include Bank Holidays.

What will you deliver? 

  • Duties must be completed in accordance with the patrolling plan to ensure all required areas of the borough are covered.      
  • Check all vehicles, both on and off street, for the display of a valid ticket, permit or disabled badge and issue penalty charge notices as required. This requires understanding, interpreting and applying relevant legislation (Traffic Management Act 2004, Road Traffic Act 1991, Road Traffic and Regulations Act 1984,  Disability Acts -1972 & 2000, Signs and Lines Regulations 2000)
  • Inspect parking meters and pay and display machines to ensure that they are working prior to issuing parking notices.  Where meters and machines are not working place an out of order notice on them and report the fault to the relevant person.
  • Record additional evidence which may be required to prove breach of regulations and which would not be included on parking notices.
  • Report any signage or lines for compliance with Signs and Lines Regulations 2000 and report to the relevant person and record on electronic spreadsheet.
  • Check car parks are clean, safe and available for use. Report any acts of vandalism or any repairs
  • which may be required.  Remove litter, clear snow and grit walkways as appropriate.
  • Ensure all documentation, both electronic and written, is completed according to the relevant regulations.
  • Act as a source of local information to the public and offer assistance and give direction as required.
  • Place and remove as required, signage and / or cones relating to suspended parking provision, both on and off street.
  • Report suspected abandoned vehicles to the relevant person.
  • Report suspected inappropriate skip or other large waste container placement to the relevant person.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected at this level.

Payroll Manager

What will you deliver?

Marketing

  • Assist with researching, planning and delivery of marketing campaigns
  • Research and produce relevant case studies for the region

Brand, Design and Digital

  • Create and edit video content for internal and external use

Equans is looking for a Contract Administrator to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

As Contract Administrator, you will be part of the Admin Team. You will work closely with Contract Managers & Supervisors to ensure all works (PPM, reactive & quoted) are processed and dealt with in a timely manner in accordance with the contractual requirements.

The post holder will ensure quoted/follow on works are fully logged and prepared ahead of attendance at site, together with the upload of statutory documentation to various customer systems and Equans Customer Portal. The monitoring of supplier invoices ensures financial controls are maintained.

We are looking for an individual with previous experience using CAFM, Strong knowledge of in-house systems and processes are desirable to undertake this role effectively, and excellent time management skills and attention to detail.

What will you deliver?

  • Process PPM, reactive & quoted works (WIP) for invoicing in a timely manner
  • Entry & verification of engineer’s timesheets & job reports assisted by Contract Managers
  • Processing Purchasecards receipts and coding to an online banking system
  • Calculation and verification of overtime hours ready for monthly submission to Payroll
  • Liaise with Contract Managers & Supervisors to effectively investigate and resolve invoicing queries escalating issues where necessary to Management team
  • Generate invoices and issue to customers through agreed communications channels such as emails & customer CAFM systems, on a monthly basis
  • Continuously update appropriate accounting and customer CAFM systems with detailed and accurate information ensuring supporting information / evidence is in place
  • Chase appropriate parties for supporting information (subcontractor & engineers reports, subcontractor & supplier invoices) if not in place and file accordingly
  • Uploading of statutory documentation to Compliance tracker, client portals Equans customer portals and Elogbooks, including but not limited to Combustion, Refrigeration and NICEIC Certification
  • Processing any contractual requests ensuring the system is up-to-date including renewals and variations, ensuring the correct forms are submitted to support changes
  • Carry out general administrative duties in line with the departmental policies & procedures as required
  • Undertake any ‘ad hoc’ duties as requested by the Management team which are commensurate with the role

Administrator

EQUANS are recruiting for an Administrator to be based in Belfast. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £23,500 and benefits package.

General Overview

Administrator to work across our Building Maintenance Contract, successfully building and maintaining relationships to ensure smooth delivery and completion of works.

This role involves participation in an OOH Rota, usually one Saturday every six - eight weeks as well as one 12pm-8pm shift a week.

The key purpose of a Junior Finance Business Partner is to work alongside the Finance Business Partners to support the Embedded Energy business leaders to deliver profitable and sustainable growth for Equans.
