Equans is looking for a Second Line IT Field Engineer - Mobile to join our team in South East London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

As the face of IT to the business, the successful candidate will be required to resolve IT issues with a focus on customer satisfaction, whilst minimising downtime; in addition, other teams in IT will require your eyes, ears, expertise and site knowledge to ensure that day-to-day operation continues smoothly.

Field Engineers are responsible for keeping our users going, at our offices where there is no dedicated IT staff member. They take a personal approach to each ticket and work with the affected users to understand the impact of their issue and prioritise accordingly.

The role is customer site based so travel around the designated area will be expected, while adhering to company health and safety measures and advice.

What will you deliver?

  • Onsite and remote ticket completion with excellent customer service skills
  • Ensure timely completion of tickets that have been passed from the Service Desk
  • Liaising with other support teams for additional expertise where needed
  • Knowledge sharing and participation to ensure the team deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Assist with the requirements of other teams within the IT function
  • Act as on-site resource for project work, assisting with troubleshooting on-site network hardware, and providing an expert contact for technical or logistical queries from our colleagues across IT.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in a previous IT role is required, and for the right candidate this role can function as a step-up into a second line role, with the opportunity for skillset growth through on-the-job learning and access to online training platforms.
  • Beneficial technical skills include a good knowledge of desktop/laptop/mobile technologies and best practice (Windows, Android and iOS); a fundamental understanding of network infrastructure, configuration and operation; AD and AAD administration, and a very strong grasp of Office 365 to assist users with their issues and also to help them maximise their use of the systems available.
  • A full driving license is essential for this role.

Resident Liaison Officer

Equans is looking for a Resident Liaison Officer to join our team in Silchester and surrounding areas. This is a full time, permanent role. On offer is a salary of £26,000 - £31,000 depending on skills and experience, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • To provide consultation and support to residents prior to, during and after works to their homes, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Managing the customer/resident journey whilst following the client and company engagement procedures
  • To develop effective working relationships with residents, clients, subcontractors, site-based personnel, local stakeholders, the local community and the Customer Care Department
  • Carry out choice events, consultation events and individual consultation with residents regarding future work.
  • Carry out individual resident inductions to include – introduction to Equans, the CLO/RLO
    process, scope of works, property and personal belongings condition surveys inclusive of photographs for evidence
  • Complete resident profiling and work with the site management team to implement effective working practices and discuss with the Client’s customer care team where appropriate
  • Agree access arrangements with the resident and book appointments to enable the work to their home
  • Organise and provide support needs: packing boxes, dust sheets, storage and other facilities
    as required and agreed.

Document Controller

Equans Data Centers have an opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to join on our Document Control team to support our growing Data Center business.  This role is a fixed term contract for up to 12 months.

Based in our project site in Newport the Document Controller will be responsible for managing the control of all administrative and technical documents in accordance with Project Specific and Company Procedures.  The Document Controller will ensure that all users have access to the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner.

What you will deliver?

  • Assist in the implementation of the document control system and management during the projects life cycle.
  • Manage SharePoint, including creating folders, issuing invitations, updating and maintaining.
  • Issue 4project invitations to new users, including assigning them to the correct permissions: security groups, updating the folders structures, custom fields and the workflows if required.
  • Ensure all technical documents and comments are recorded on 4Projects e.g. drawings, technical submittals and manufacturers literature.
  • Monitor and control with guidance from the project lead/ design manager via the approval responsibility matrix the roles and responsibilities on 4projects to ensure security of confidential material is not breached.
  • Create new project and set up workflows with subfolders and distribution groups. Ensure that workflow progression is monitored and all relevant documents are correctly allocated.
  • Support the Design Manager(s) / MEP managers in their design approval process/commenting as per the Company Procedures, with regards to managing Technical Documents.

Contract Administrator

To provide administrative and operational support to the Facilities Manager, Senior Management Team, and other members of the Operations Team.

What will you deliver? 

    • Assist departments in the administration of information required for SLA/KPI’s and monthly reports.

    • Planning / co-ordination of meetings on and off site.

Sustainability Compliance Officer

Equans is looking for a Sustainability Compliance Officer to join our team in Wath upon Dearne, on a permanent basis to support the Regional Sustainability Team in adhering to scheme delivery requirements in line with funding and accreditation requirements and maintaining the necessary associated accreditations.

This role will be responsible for collating, validating and preparing PAS 2030:2023 compliance paperwork to Clients, Energy Suppliers and Accreditation Bodies on a weekly basis, operating within contractual deadlines to ensure compliance. This is a full-time role.

Facilities Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Administrator to join our facilities team working on our Greater Manchester Police maintenance contract based at Eccles police station providing administrative support to various police stations across Greater Manchester. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

The role:

  • Reporting to the Business Performance Manager
  • To provide effective and efficient administrative compliance support for the contract
  • Identify client requirements through telephone, CAFM Helpdesk system, and e-mail communications.
  • Raise and manage to completion PPM and reactive work orders in the CAFM System to deliver KPIs.
  • Produce quotations, chase approvals and arrange for work to be carried out via raising purchase orders to subcontractors and arranging for access to the Site.
  • To prepare reports and documents as required and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • To work along site the management team to provide support as required on the contract

The person:

  • Experience in a similar role providing effective administration support
  • Knowledge of Maximo database or similar CAFM system an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Able to work as both part of a team and autonomously
  • Must have good IT skills (able to use Microsoft Office and management systems)
  • Experience of production and maintenance of reporting
  • Well organised and able to prioritise workload
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy work environment

HR Advisor

EQUANS are recruiting for a HR Advisor (12 month FTC) to cover our sites in Yorkshire, predominantly working from our Regional Offices in Leeds and Rotherham. This is a fixed term (12 months) full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview:

The role holder will be responsible for the provision of HR advisory guidance, supporting the business with its people agenda by delivering a commercially focused pragmatic service throughout the employee journey.

What will you deliver?

  • Be an internal expert, providing generalist HR advice and practical support to managers on all people management and employment law issues whilst ensuring these processes are conducted in accordance with the ethos and values of EQUANS
  • Support with the month end reporting process ensuring that data is collated, accurate and provided on time
  • Disseminating of written and verbal communications, reports, policies and processes, and updates on progress against people objectives
  • Advice on early-stage grievance / disciplinary action including attendance at hearings

HR Administration Manager

Equans is looking for an HR Administration Manager to join our team at our Shared Service Centre in Newcastle Upon Tyne on a 24 month FTC basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

The HR Administration Manager will be accountable for the delivery of effective HR Administrative services across several HR activities including (Hire to Retire, Personal Data Management, TUPE mobilisation and employee vetting driving whilst delivering continuous improvement initiatives through innovation and best practice to deliver quality compliant procedures.

The role will be responsible for leading a team of 23 supporting the Equans key stakeholders to deliver strategic and operational people initiatives that maximise the performance of the Business.

What will you deliver?

  • Support the delivery of the UK Business Unit strategy and vision
  • Responsible for the delivery of a great employee experience through HR Admin services to agreed SLA’s & KPI’s ensuring strict adherence to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), and internal policies.
  • Create a culture that promotes high levels of employee and customer engagement through inspiring leadership and customer focus.
  • Identify and drive team development to ensure future fit skills and team engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement liaising productively with the HR & payroll networks and Central IT team to assess, prioritise and deliver ongoing system improvements driven by legislation and efficiency levers.
  • Work with Head of Employee Services to deliver HR Admin agreed budget,
  • Ensure process controls and segregation of duties are in place, satisfying all Internal and External audit standards applicable to Equans.
  • Ensure all process documentation/operating procedures are up to date (desktop procedures).
  • Provide expert guidance on HR Admin processes, legislation, and compliance requirements.
  • Handle escalations through to resolution.
  • Support contract mobilisations and demobilisations to ensure effective, accurate timely transition.

The Category Manager will play a pivotal role in maximising the value of Procurement at Equans UK&I by executing a structured, collaborative approach to category projects that optimises the procurement of similar products and services. 

This pivotal role within the Procurement Function is essential in delivering a unified, centralised support service across a diverse, autonomous, and nationally dispersed organisation. Reporting directly to the Category HUB Leader, the role is specifically accountable for:

  • Strategic Management of the HR Services Category: This involves conducting comprehensive spend analyses, assessing current and future business needs, and analysing supplier markets and industry dynamics to optimise procurement strategies
  • Supplier Engagement and Relationship Management: Engage with the HR Services supply chain to identify those best positioned to fulfil Equans’ business requirements, overseeing these relationships to ensure continued alignment with quality, functionality, and cost-effectiveness standards
  • Value Chain Optimisation and Savings Generation: Proactively identify opportunities to drive value across the entire procurement spectrum, prioritising cost savings through a structured Category approach, with a focus on achieving transparent and measurable results
  • Innovation: Champion the integration of innovative solutions to enhance customer offerings within the HR Service categories
  • Stakeholder Management

What will you deliver?

  • Strategic management of the HR Services category: analysis of spend & business needs, anticipation of future needs, supplier market analysis and market dynamics - Management of the related supply chain, contract extension/renewal, launch and drive end to end RFP/RFQ processes, etc
  • Leading the development of procurement strategies in close cooperation with business operations and procurement stakeholders activating all spend reduction levers
  • Defining and implementing an action plan to deploy strategies for BUs/entities to effectively reduce their external spend on the category and/or mitigate market increases
  • Steering economic performance (external spend reduction), supplier performance on category
  • Adapting strategy in response to changes (market, internal budgets, technologies)
  • Supporting operational entities in the implementation and monitoring of supplier policy defined for the category
  • Assist the Delivery and Commercial teams in efficient subcontract procurement
  • Work to and support supply chain deals, working with procurement department to ensure the BU achieves the best potential in terms of supplier arrangements
  • Understand and protect the companies commercial and legal position in relation to its contractual engagement with supply chain arrangements clearly setting out the terms and proposals
  • Oversee and manage the recovery of retrospective rebates with regards
  • Setting annual rebate collection targets
  • Promoting rebate arrangements across group to maximise utilisation
  • Provide pre-tender specialist commercial input as required to ensure accurate net cost pricing
  • Support subcontractor procurement by benchmarking and interrogating costs to ensure additional contribution opportunities are realized (re-invigoration of cost benchmarking database and e-procurement)
  • Attend and participate in Design Team Meetings to influence and steer specifications towards most commercially advantageous products
  • Maintain and publish regular and accurate reports demonstrating the effectiveness of strategic sourcing arrangements and contribution to the group profit improvement / efficiency plan
  • Monitor supplier / category expenditures and trends
  • Build and maintain excellent supplier relations
