Senior Mechanical Technician

Equans is looking for a Senior Mechanical Technician to join our team in Liverpool on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 42.5 hours per week, and will be a shift basis (12hr shifts 4 on 4 off, 7 cycles of this then a rostered 18 day break). What will you deliver?

  • Manage all aspects of shift team operations and maintenance.
  • Carry out operations, planned and unplanned maintenance and diagnostics on all service related equipment and other factory utility systems.
  • Maintain all plant & equipment as required at the Halewood Site in line with existing procedures, thereby fulfilling site health, safety, environmental, quality and customer service targets. This will include identifying areas for continual improvement.
  • Ensure that the operational areas under his control are effectively managed to ensure that all third party contractors who carry out work on the site do so in a safe and professional manner and abide by the relevant Company procedures and site specific procedures where applicable.
  • Follow the company procedures and standards as expressed in the Company Handbook
  • Complete all administrative functions correctly and efficiently, either paper log books or by using appropriate IT software, e.g. Maintenance Management System
  • Become fully familiar with all Company and site procedures, which affect him and carry out all responsibilities detailed in the EMS (Engie Management System)
  • Represent the Company well to customers and external agencies, by reasonable dress and demeanour and ensure the site and all Company property are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Manage and assist other shift team members to ensure flexibility and meeting the needs of the customer.

Shift Mechanical Craftsperson

Equans are working closely in partnership with the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust to prepare for the opening of the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), the brand-new centre of healthcare provision for the local community.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, based on a shift rota that includes working nights and weekends to provide 24/7 cover on site. On offer is a salary banding of £35,000 - £38,000 (inclusive of all allowances) per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Undertake a proactive role in responding to reactive jobs to complete diagnostic, fault finding and repair to complex mechanical systems in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures and in compliance with legislation and guidance
  • Obtain Competent Person status following training and instruction for systems such as specialist ventilation system, complex water systems and medical gas installations
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to services across site on various aspects of the building services in accordance with the PPM programme and personal competence and training
  • Minimise penalty deductions by responding in a timely manner to all maintenance issues in accordance with the requirements of the contract
  • Assist in carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works

Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

EQUANS is looking for a Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

 

What will you deliver? 

  • Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA
  • All relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works
  • Reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made
  • Plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order
  • Undertake Point of Work Risk Assessment (POWRA) prior to starting work evidencing it is safe to proceed
  • Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken
  • To attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours (call outs). Take part in the regional on-call rota

Maintenance Engineer

Equans are recruiting for a DBUE Maintainer to be based onsite in Andover, SP10 3LF. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £30,000 - £34,000, dependent upon skills and experience and excellent benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Provide first line maintenance for PPM schedules.
  • Responsible for fault finding and diagnosis
  • Responsible for participating in the configuration of deployment tranches and assessing / isolation of the DBUE post deployment
  • Where required, support training activities and the movement of equipment for activities other than emergency deployment
  • React to the depot during emergency call out and attend off site locations during an emergency deployment.

  • Carrying out PPM work on but not limited too, Fire Detection, Wet and Dry Fire Suppression, Passive Fire protection and First aid firefighting equipment
  • Ensure that tasks are carried out in a safe manner
  • Keep disruption to the client’s premises to a minimum during PPM tasks
  • Identifying and recommending system/service improvements during PPM/reactive visits

  • Calibration / PAT testing of plant is maintained, and in date

We are looking for a Fire Maintenance Engineer who has experience with Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) on Fire Detection, Wet and Dry Fire Suppression, Passive Fire protection and First aid firefighting equipment.

What will you deliver? 

  • Carry out PPM tasks on Fire Detection, Wet and Dry Fire Suppression, Passive Fire protection and First aid firefighting equipment
  • Ensuring that disruption to the client’s premises is kept to a minimum during PPM
  • Identifying and recommending system/service improvements and/or or variations during PPM/reactive visits and supplying accurate scopes of work
  • Identifying and correcting faults/issues with varying types of fire detection, suppression and alarm equipment installed at client’s sites
  • Identifying potential remedial works during PPM/reactive visits
  • Identifying technical issues with the systems being worked on and carrying out corrective actions
  • Calibration / PAT testing of plant is maintained, and in date
  • Maintain use of the company’s PDA / activity capture software (Movilizer), ensuring the information gathered and uploaded is accurate
