Equans is looking for a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team in Kings Yard, Queen Elizabeth Park, London on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
We are looking for a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining Equans and industry standards within the London MOPAC contract. You will have technical knowledge of Split AC, VRV’s and chillers from a wide of range of manufacturers.

What will you deliver?
- Installation and operation of engineering equipment in line with operational requirements of the sites
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety including risk assessment & working safely with equipment
- Ability to measure, work to plans, drawing up RAMS, read technical drawings and communicate, present and report technical information as appropriate
- Diagnose fault-find, debug and commission systems, utilising appropriate technical skills and system knowledge
- Monitor and assess ongoing machine/ facility performance, through PPM programme as appropriate, identifying any additional works required
- Administer and complete relevant paperwork including FGAS register requirements for all assignments

Who are we looking for?
- Formal apprenticeship served in relevant skill area or a minimum of 4 years relevant and practical experience within a similar industry
- Experience with installations will be advantageous
- City and Guilds refrigeration and Air Conditioning (6187) Level 2
- City and Guilds 2079 - F-Gas
- Experience working on Split units, VRV’s and chillers
- Possess a high degree of attention to detail
- Must have a full & clean current driving licence
You will be required to be cleared to CTC clearance level due to site requirements and this role is dependent on maintaining this level of clearance

Senior Fire Commissioning Engineer
Equans is looking for a Senior Fire Commissioning Engineer to join our team working on our contract with Transport for London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, working between the hours of 10:00pm - 06:00an. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Senior Fire Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for fire detection integration of fire systems between Crossrail and London underground. Operating out of our London office, this is to cover an area across London, therefore a valid Driving License is essential.
What will you deliver?
- Identifying and correcting faults/issues with varying types of fire alarm detection, suppression and alarm equipment installed at client’s sites
- Carrying out technical investigations and collating reports for submission
- Ensuring that disruption to the client’s premises is kept to a minimum during corrective works
- Ensuring that all works are carried out in timely manner and comply with the relevant standards (BS5839pt 1 2013, BS5306 etc.)
- Collation and submission of all evidence of works – printouts/engineers sheets/test results

Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer

What will you deliver?
- Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time.
- Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
- Complete all relevant paperwork in relation to PPM, reactive and breakdown works.
- Update CAFM system in real time providing full description of works undertaken, advising of any follow-on works required.
- Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
- Attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours, taking part in the regional on-call rota
- There will be a requirement to work out of hours to fulfil our maintenance commitments of our customers.
- Any other task as directed by the contract manager

AC Mechanical Supervisor
Equans is looking for a Mechanical HVAC Supervisor to join our team with Arriva Rail, London on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.
Overview:
Based at Kings Yard office in Stratford you will be looking after the daily running of hard services across the Arriva Rail London contract
You will be required to work a Mon – Fri 08:00 – 17:00 working pattern. This role will also include a required amount of weekend working
What will you deliver?
- Looking after and making sure we are up to date with all statutory compliance.
- Previous experience in an engineering or operations role or a similar such process facility.

- Vetting RAMS and safe systems of work when supervising subcontractors.
- Completion of permit to work documents for subcontractors.
- Chasing progress updates on spares and other procured materials and equipment.
- Form part of a full TFM account delivery and adopt a one team working approach with all other service streams.
- Assist the Account Manager to ensure operational performance is optimised and engineering efficiency is at its maximum.
- Offer guidance and assistance to the site engineering team.
- Provide holiday and sickness cover for other members of your team if required.
- Continually review with the Account Manager operational performance to ensure engineering efficiency and first time fix ratio is maximised whilst non-productive time is kept to an absolute minimum.
- Engineer development to ensure that a high quality team is maintained including performance management, succession planning and personal development.
- To develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and key stakeholders.
- Deliver engineer and site audits in line with Company Health & Safety policy.
- Deal with engineering issues daily and escalate where required.
- To provide PDA field training for new and existing engineers when required.
- Carry out Back to Work interviews following periods of absence.
- Actively engage with new engineering team members and the new starter process to ensure a seamless introduction to the contract.

Required experience/qualifications
- A Time Served Mechanical / HVAC Supervisor with a good knowledge of plumbing
- Experience in managing a team of engineers.
- Sentinel card preferred.

Equans is looking for an Air Conditioining Engineer to join our team in mobile capacity covering the South East on a permanent basis. - Carry out all PPM and repairs on A/C unit and AHU’s as necessary

-Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop completion and travel times with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work.
-Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator. -Complete supplementary documentation / E-Forms relating to the maintenance task as dictated by your line manager.
-Update customers CAFM system in real time with start/wait/stop completion times and provide full description of works undertaken, advising of any follow-on works required.
-Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager. This is to be indicated and recorded within the CAFM system.
-Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order. In accordance with the delegated authority with the applicable contract or authorised by the client.
-Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
-Undertake Point of Work Risk Assessment (POWRA) prior to starting work evidencing it is safe to proceed. Note any safety concerns using the AIMS system
-Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
-Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To always include the wearing of uniform and PPE.
-To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with Equans Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements (or approved client system).
-Undertake mandatory training and skill related training as required by the business.
-To develop a good working relationship with all members of Equans Staff, Sub-Contractors and the Client representatives.
-Ensure the professional image of Equans is always presented to Clients
-Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of Equans are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
-Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
-Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's.
-To attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours (call outs). Take part in the regional on-call rota.
-There will be a requirement to work out of hours to fulfil our maintenance commitments of our customers.
-Undertake regular audits of vehicle / tools to ensure they are in safe working order, including all test equipment is in date
-Any other task as directed by the contract manager
Impact:
As Equans representative and first point of contact with the Client, the importance of this role cannot be overestimated.
It is essential that all works are carried in a cost effective, timely manner, maximising revenue, where possible.
Complexity:
-Maintenance and repair of AC Installations
-Excellent fault finding and diagnosis skills a must.
-Carry out Installation work and complete appropriate Certification
-Operation and interrogation of BMS
-Basic knowledge in building fabric repairs
Qualifications or Required Experience:
-A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential.
-FGas certification essential
-Trade qualified AC Engineer with appropriate post apprenticeship experience desirable.
-Must have a full clean drivers’ licence.
-Legionella awareness (preferable – can provide training)
-Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential)
-MEWP Licence (preferable but not essential)
-First aid trained (preferable but not essential)
-Computer literate
-Good communicator
-Able to deal diplomatically with the client’s demanding personnel
-Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised

HVAC Mechanical Technician
EQUANS are looking for a Mechanical Technician for our EDF contracts, this would be based at Sizewell B power station, Leiston. This role would be a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. We're offering a salary of £37,000-£40,000 and benefits package.
General Overview:
To carry out maintenance routines unsupervised, diagnose and repair faults on a wide variety of heavy mechanical plant including motors, pumps, HVAC and Air compressors, water treatment plant, fans, drives, pneumatic controls, pressurisation units, HTHW and LTHW systems.
Technical Competences:
• Formal and recognised apprenticeship served in Mechanical Engineering and relevant skill areas.
• Awareness of risk assessment and working safely within an engineering environment.
• Ability to follow work instructions, read/ interpret technical diagrams and report technical information as required.
Industry Qualifications Required (dependant on operational requirements):
• City & Guilds Level III or NVQ equivalent is a mandatory requirement
• C&G/HNC or time served equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, factory services or a similar but related subject
IOSH managing Safely – would be advantageous.
