Day Supervisor (Planning)
Equans is looking for a Day Supervisor (Planning) to join our team on our AstraZeneca contract in Macclesfield on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, between the hours of 7am - 3pm. On offer is a salary between £39,000 - £45,000, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Carry out, or assist other in carrying out, maintenance, fault finding, repair, de-commissioning and re-commissioning on a wide range Electrical, Mechanical and Control and Instrumentation equipment at the Site CHP plant and associated remote sites, ensuring that all equipment is correctly operated and maintained to maximise plant operation efficiency and the safety of personnel at all times
- Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Day Supervisor shall undertake the role with minimum supervision, maintaining a flexible approach, focussing on the needs of the Client and effectively following the quality processes and procedures put in place, including pro-actively identifying areas for improvement
- Plan and record of all site maintenance activities through the site maintenance management system (SAP) best utilising site labour
- Plan all site contractor activities ensuring work is completed in a safe compliant manor
- Ensure all relevant document (permits, service records etc) is completed at the relevant time

Who are we looking for?
- Knowledge and preferably proven experience and delivery of process plant operations, engineering and maintenance activities
- Excellent planning skills
- Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and its impact on day to day operations
- An understanding of the processes and systems required to develop and maintain a high standard of work quality
- Minimum of BTEC National Certificate/City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent but preferred Higher National Certificate in an Electro-Mechanical craft discipline
- NVQ Level 3 in a craft discipline or equivalent
- Completed recognised relevant apprenticeship
- A formal health and safety related qualification e.g. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
- Previous experience of supervising a small Operations and Maintenance Team with a proven track record

Equans is looking for a Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team on the HMCTS contract in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. What will you deliver?
The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Mechanical and Electrical Buildings Services Engineering plant, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities.
- Carry out routine PPM all electrical and mechanical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and CAFM.

Equans are working closely in partnership with the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust to prepare for the opening of the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), the brand-new centre of healthcare provision for the local community.

Maintenance Electrician
Equans is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Blackburn Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.
The maintenance engineer will complete engineering activities and undertake duties for which their trained and competent to do. There is an Estates management team based on site that can offer specialised technical advice and who can liaise with the appropriate levels of management to facilitate specialist isolations necessary to undertake certain engineering works.
What will you deliver?
- Help ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures, maintaining up to date knowledge of H&S and environmental regulations and helping us to achieve our H&S target.
- Diagnose, fault-find, commission systems, monitor and assess ongoing machine/facility performance, through Planned Preventive Maintenance programme, identifying any additional works required.
- Assist in installing, commissioning, and servicing plant, equipment and industrial furniture.
- At all times maintain a smart appearance and professional manner that is representative of EQUANS in the workplace.
- Carry out and assist in planned/reactive maintenance to on site systems.
- Flexible working hours required which may include overtime working.
- Participate in the on-call rota.
- Administer and complete relevant paperwork.
- Fair, consistent, and courteous attitude in all dealings at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of problems and deal with them to their conclusion.
- Ensure that all issues are reported to the Technical Services Supervisor/Technical Services Manager.

Energy Manager
Equans is looking for an Energy Manager to join our team in Salford on a permanent basis for our Media City contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, 5% bonus and benefits package.
General Overview:
We have an opportunity available working with EQUANS as an Energy Manager on a prestigious contract in the Northwest. As part of your role, you would be expected to do the following:
• On behalf of the customer the selected individual will be responsible for the continuation of the ISO50001 energy management programme, actively working to achieve the annual energy reduction targets.
• The individual will need an understanding of Science Based Targets (SBT), and Net Zero Carbon.
• Analyse existing building systems and collect data on building operation, HVAC, electrical power, lighting, and controls to determine energy usage and efficiency.
• Conduct energy audits and identify energy savings opportunities and make recommendations to achieve more energy efficient operation.
• Analyse and identify ways and means to improve the effectiveness of energy consumption throughout the site(s). Serve as key advisor on energy matters while reviewing cost estimates, specifications, drawings, construction documents, maintenance repairs and modifications
• Experience of M&T strategies and software is desirable
• Develop and implement strategies relating to energy efficiency and sustainable development.
• Troubleshoot HVAC systems to minimise cost, ensure optimum system performance and ensure simplified system operations and maintenance.
• Design, develop and deliver tailored educational programmes for site personnel and customers on topics such as energy awareness.
• Regularly liaise with the customer to review the sites energy performance and evaluate energy saving opportunities.
• Promote awareness of energy usage and the use of alternative or renewable energy sources via a series of tailor made campaigns.
• Analyse and create graphical representations of energy data, using appropriate software.

• Carry out research into renewable and energy efficient systems or technologies such as solar thermal, photovoltaic energy and wind turbines.

Electrical Engineer
EQUANS is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Gloucester on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £36,000 - £38,000, dependent on skills and experience plus benefits package.
We have an opportunity available for a static based role of an Electrician on the Peel L&P owned and managed Gloucester Quays Shopping Centre. The role would involve carrying out planned maintenance activities and reactive works on site and as this is a customer facing role so excellent customer service skills are required.
