Sustainability Compliance Officer

Equans is looking for a Sustainability Compliance Officer to join our team in Nottingham, on a permanent basis to support the Regional Sustainability Team in adhering to scheme delivery requirements in line with funding and accreditation requirements and maintaining the necessary associated accreditations.

This role will be responsible for collating, validating and preparing PAS 2030:2019 compliance paperwork to Clients, Energy Suppliers and Accreditation Bodies on a weekly basis, operating within contractual deadlines to ensure compliance This is a full time role. What will you deliver?

  • Producing of all necessary paperwork associated with installation of Energy Efficiency measure in line with PAS 2030:2019 process
  • Working closely with scheme Retrofit Coordinators ensuring PAS installation paperwork is provided in line with the main contract programmes
  • Maintain a wide knowledge and understanding of the sector and pass this knowledge onto the wider regional team
  • Provide compliance advice to regional delivery teams regarding energy efficiency measures
  • To ensure that there are zero compliance failures resulting from poor and inaccurate submission information
  • To ensure all Strategic Partner contractual deadlines are adhered to
  • Engage with key supply chain partners to support the effective development and delivery of projects

Senior Highways Engineer

Equans is looking for a Senior Highways Engineer to join our team in Grimsby. This is a permanent role working full time hours. On offer is a competitive salary between £42,000 - £47,000 depending on skills and experience and benefits package.  

This role is based in Grimsby office, you may be required to travel to sites from time to time therefor a driving license is required. We offer the option to work from home up to 2 days per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Equans’ Professional Services function, a multi-disciplinary design consultancy including Civil, Structures, Infrastructure and Build.

Equans is North East Lincolnshire Council’s long-term Regeneration Partner delivering a number of services on their behalf, including the Highways Design Service. We are proud of our established, successful and award winning partnership - our team having secured a number of high profile regeneration and infrastructure projects, as well as being responsible for delivery of the Local Transport Plan for North East Lincolnshire.  This role supports the team in their delivery of a first-class service to its customers and fully contributes to delivering sustainable development and growth in North East Lincolnshire.

You will be part of the Professional Services team, dealing with a variety of infrastructure projects including highway maintenance to large capital civil and structural projects. Examples of previous projects have been a number of multi million regeneration schemes within Grimsby and Cleethorpes enhancing the public realm, and delivery of new trunk roads and industrial estate access roads to promote business development in the area.

You will join an expanding team of engineers, technicians, apprentices and site support staff.  Enthusiastic and dedicated, you will have demonstrable experience in design and management of highway projects, the ability to supervise people and projects and work independently

What will you deliver?

  • As Senior HD Engineer, responsibility for supervision and development of junior members of the team.
  • Where appointed, support the EQUANS Project Manager in the delivery of major schemes
  • Manage and co-ordinate workload to achieve project deliverables within the agreed time, quality, and financial objectives.
  • Develop design briefs, prepare feasibility studies and detailed designs, specifications, scheme reports and contract data on a variety of projects.  Undertake design work with an innovative approach considering conservation, sustainability and budget.
  • Lead and contribute to design reviews ensuring design quality, monitor emerging legislation and engineering standards.

Who are we looking for?

  • Qualified to HND/C level with a preference for degree level or equivalent knowledge sills and experience.
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body or working towards Chartership is desirable but not essential.
  • A proven track record in the Highways and Transportation industry.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with limited management.
  • A sound knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets.
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of DMRB design standards and Local Authority procedures in relation to the design and construction of highway schemes under section 38 and 278 of the Highways Act. 
  • Detailed understanding of Health and Safety legislation, working experience of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and understanding of legislative aspects of project delivery.
  • Proficient in the use of industry standard computer software including AutoCAD, Key Signs, Key Lines and Auto Tracks.  Knowledge and experience of using 3D highway modelling software.
  • Commercial awareness and experience of working within a multi-disciplinary design environment.
  • Driving license

Senior Planner

Equans Data Centers are seeking to appoint a Senior Planner to be based on a project site in Newport to assist the delivery of our projects.  The Senior Planner will provide a professional planning service in every stage of the project lifecycle from tender, through to design, construction and commissioning.  The Senior Planner will ensure all activities are captured, whilst playing a key role within project teams. 

Equans Data Centers deliver fully integrated engineering solutions for technically detailed projects in the Data Center industry.  The Senior Planner will provide professional planning services for project delivery and will have the scope to work on projects of different sizes in these sectors. 

What you will deliver? 

  • Provide planning services as a key part of the project team ensuring the teams are delivering on project time objectives. 
  • Understand for each project the level of planning service and anticipated time allocation to provide that service. 
  • Identifying, communicating and managing project risks. Collaborating with the team to solve any issues or problems. 
  • Build strong internal and external relationship with the Planning department and broader project and client teams. 
  • Communicating with other disciplines within production teams to ensure they are aware of their roles in meeting the programme. 
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and planning standards. 
  • Providing detailed an accurate regular progress reporting to the project team and client as required. 
  • Summarise projects status upstream to senior management, highlighting any unresolved major risks and potential overruns. 
  • Manage time and workload to ensure deadlines are met. Highlight any potential work overload/slackening to Line Manager as soon as it is apparent. 
  • Review processes to enhance planning best practice that can aid and improve performance and consistency, across the project teams and wider planning community. 
  • Lead programme meetings and react quickly to any client-led changes, ensuring that there are auditable trails. 
  • Form robust links with all key stakeholders by working closely with senior managers and directors. 
  • Review projects that have deviated from plan and provide advice on plans and strategy, subsequent cause and effect and contribute to decisions as to the best way forward.

Planner

EQUANS is looking for a Planner to join our team in Seaham on a permanent basis. This is a fulltime role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

The Planner will be responsible for producing, programmes, progress reports, resource schedules, and associated procurement/design schedules for projects from initial pre-construction stages through to live projects onsite

What will you deliver? 

  • Produce fully logic linked programmes – Initial pre-construction, tender/ bids, live projects (short term and full construction & contract programmes)
  • Review information and comment on information in relation to programme implications.
  • Insist in the production of constraint plans
  • Insist in the production of project risk registers (PPA documents)
  • Attend Site / Team and DTM meetings to gather/request information relating to programme implications.
  • Monitor and edit programmes based on revised/updated project information and subjective evaluation of the sites progress  
  • Contribution to the production of robust project controls, and accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • Assist in producing procurement schedules and information release schedules.
  • Ensure accurate/timely completion of any relevant documentation.
