EQUANS is looking for an Operational Lead to join our team based in Kidderminster on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,545 per annum and benefits package. This role is to support the Team Managers in the day-to-day delivery of the DWP-DDMS contract operations in line with contract requirements during allocate shift hours, ensuring service delivery against SLA and KPI requirements, whilst ensuring all SHEQ deliverables are effectively managed and provided for at all times. What will you deliver?
- Provide day-to-day management support and staff motivation to the allocated DDMS staff group ensuring that all relevant operational activities are completed in line with contractual qualitative and quantitative service level requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with all operational staff through demonstrable leadership techniques and effective inter-personal skills.
- Maintain communication links between all DDMS operational personnel through close liaison with other Operations Leads ensuring maximum efficiency of the combined entity.
- Close liaison with the all Team Managers and the Resource Administrator to ensure that the daily resource plan and daily activity plan are delivered to meet or exceed business expectations.
- Provide direct support to the Team Manager in monitoring and effectively managing attendance, absence and holidays.
- Provide direct support to the Team Manager in managing the individual and team performance.
- Assist the Team Manager in proactively dealing with performance issues of individual team members through personal development and objective monitoring.
- Assist the Team Manager in proactively seeking continuous improvement in terms of both quality and productivity from individual team members and from the team as an entity.
- Promote a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with current legislation and both Company and customer policies.
- Ensure Company standards for environmental management systems and procedures are applied and complied with at all times.
- Actively demonstrate the company values of “Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence and Respect” in all actions and behaviours.

Who are we looking for?
- Excellence in people management and driving individual motivation to perform.
- Experience of first line or second line management level.
- Experience of industrialised mailroom, document management, or similar environment.
- Experience of developing strong relationships with senior managers.
- Strong, written, numeracy and interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to quickly assimilate and articulate performance data.
- Process orientated and experience of using technology to support delivery.
