Equans is looking for a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team on the North West Fire and Rescue contract on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Perform scheduled, planned, and reactive maintenance tasks on HVAC plant and equipment across 16 sites in the North West.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and rectify defects in all ventilation systems and associated plant/components.
- Accurately complete all record-keeping tasks, ensuring any required parts are clearly and precisely listed.
- Liaise effectively with client representatives, addressing and resolving any issues that arise.
- Report potentially dangerous situations to Management immediately.
- Ensure the timely, accurate completion of all paperwork required by the company.
- Maintain up-to-date trade knowledge and qualifications necessary for safe and efficient performance of duties.
- Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety Policy and all safety management plans.
- Comply with all applicable company standards, policies, and procedures, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Participate in the On-Call Rota and occasional out-of-hours activities as needed.

Who are we looking for?

Recognised Apprenticeship/NVQ Qualification and/or a proven hands on Air Conditioning repair and installation experience working within the Buildings Services Industry

FGas & ODS regs is a mandatory requirement.

Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (6087) or equivalent
-
Experience within a similar role/environment is essential

Full Clean Driving Licence

Computer literate with good skills in word, excel, email, internet etc

Able to work on own initiative

Good knowledge of SHEQ procedures, risk assessments, work permits etc
