EQUANS is looking for a DE&I and Wellbeing Manager to join our team in on a permanent basis. This hybrid role can be based from any Equans office with some additional travel. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

As the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Manager, you will play a pivotal role in helping us to achieve our DE&I vision, to create a “culture that values difference and delivers fairness for all”, by contributing to fostering an environment of inclusivity, equity and belonging within our organisation.

Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of activities, including Employee Led Network (ELN) co-ordination, partnering with internal stakeholders, supporting with external submissions, recognition and awards, and helping to oversee external kitemarks and benchmarking initiatives. This role requires an eye for detail, strong organisational skills, collaboration and stakeholder management skills and a passion for driving positive change.  

The role will focus on supporting the delivery of key aspects of the DE&I Plans we have in place and collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders across the business (e.g. CSR, L&D, Resourcing, Wellbeing) as well as leveraging our external partnerships.

 

What will you deliver? 

DE&I Strategy Implementation:

  • Support the delivery of the DE&I strategy as a programme of culture change.
  • Assist with the collation and utilisation of data to track, measure and report on progress towards DE&I goals.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to support alignment and buy-in to the DE&I strategy.

Employee Led Network Co-ordination:

  • Work to support our vibrant and engaging DE&I Employee Led Networks (ELNs), with seven currently in total across several dimensions of diversity including our newest Network, the Veterans and Reservists Network (VaR).
  • Serve as a point of contact for ELNs, ensuring effective coordination, support for their activities and alignment with the DE&I strategy.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and workshops/events to promote awareness, dialogue and engagement around DE&I topics.

Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders:

  • Partner with Internal Stakeholders (e.g., CSR, L&D, Resourcing, Wellbeing) to strengthen links and enhance opportunities to attract, develop and care for a talented, diverse workforce.
  • Support with the development and implementation of an annual calendar of events for DE&I and aligned activities.

Managing External Kitemarks and Benchmarking:

  • Support to manage and oversee the organization’s participation in external diversity kitemarks, certifications, and benchmarking assessments (e.g. Stonewall, Disability Confident) and external partnerships alongside key internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the coordination of information and analysis of data required for submissions to external organizations and benchmarking initiatives.

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • Experience in HR, Business Administration, project management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion roles within corporate or non-profit organizations.
  • An understanding of best practices in diversity and inclusion, including familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to support decision-making and measure the impact of DE&I initiatives.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging trends and developments in the DE&I field.
  • Passionate about delivering positive change.
  • Able to manage a variety of diverse stakeholders and support the delivery of DE&I strategy interventions
  • Liaising with external organisations and membership bodies.
  • Organising, prioritising, and managing multiple large projects within a complex business environment.
  • Completing DE&I awards submissions.
  • Working with employee led networks and managing DE&I communications.
  • Data analysis, commentary and report writing.
