Equans is looking for a Compliance and Asset Manager 12 month FTC to join our team in Stoke on a temporary basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

Reporting to the Account Director at Stoke Schools, the Compliance and Asset Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all technical services are delivered in compliance with law, relevant standards and in accordance with good industry practice across the contracts portfolio of 88 schools. They will support asset data collection and management, ensuring project completion activities (such as asset capture and addition to the PPM system) occur and support wider project close out.

The role holder will also lead the close-out of all audit actions and non-conformances. In addition, they will develop and implement the Contract Key performance Indicator (KPI) Compliance System and statutory/mandatory compliance systems across all aspects of technical service delivery across the contract. The role will support during the hand back process ensuring that all documents and asset data is available to the client and stakeholders.

What will you deliver?

  • Support operational activities by completing monthly reports and assisting with preparations (and actions arising from) key operational meetings.
  • Work with the technical leads to prepare for audits (technical, internal, external, H&S etc)
  • Finds and deliver solutions to close out non-conformances, supporting account leads.
  • Routinely consolidate performance reports for each department and distil this into summary reports for
  • Assist in the production of monthly reports for each site including verification for accuracy prior to issue, and a summary of key actions for compliance improvement developed.
  • Prepare individual and consolidated reports for returns to Internal Audit
  • Work with the Technical Managers to identify areas of improvement and collate improvement
  • Monitor and trending of key compliance indicators producing reports to Technical Managers and account leads and lead with closure of these non-conformances.
  • Maintaining strong personal competence in the areas specifically of technical compliance matters to ensure consistent standards throughout.
  • Designing, producing, and delivering all of the materials necessary to allow the operational leads to follow these company standards and rectification where necessary and act as initial focal point for all queries relating to all aspects of compliance as listed.
  • Support key project activity including but not limited to supporting the production of Governance documents, project close out actions such as drawings are updated, and assets captured and added to the PPM system.
  • Assist in the development of lifecycle planning applications and submissions

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven experience within the PFI sector, and day-to-day operation and maintenance of varying types of buildings/premises such as schools, fire stations and production environments
  • Team leadership and finance knowledge
  • Business and technical experience
  • Previous demonstrable relevant experience in a PFI environment
  • HNC or HND
  • Suitable post qualifying relevant experience in a similar role
  • Good communication skills and a flexible attitude to work
