Equans is looking for an Electrical Technician to join our team in Liverpool working on our contract with Jaguar Land Rover on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 7.30am – 3.30pm. On offer is a salary of £40,500 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Operate and maintain the plant at the sites identified above in line with existing procedures, thereby fulfilling site health, safety, environmental, quality and customer service targets. This will include identifying areas for continual improvement

  • Carry out operations, planned and unplanned maintenance and diagnostics on all service-related equipment and other factory utility systems

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, repairs and operations of equipment and services in accordance with best practice and site requirements

  • Operate & maintain the main 33kV-11kV sub-station, including 5 transformers and the associated 79 switches

  • Maintain & repair all electrical equipment and control systems associated with the generation, conditioning and distribution of 4 types of compressed air on all 16 compressors, various driers and cooling equipment associated with 3 compressor houses and 4 x cooling towers

  • Operate and maintain 26 x sub-stations 11kV – 415 volts including all transformers & switches

  • Maintain site wide 415volt bus section distribution system that covers 36 acres

  • Operate maintain & control  2 x 1000 kVA standby generators

  • Service, maintain, fault find and repair in the areas of EQUANS operational responsibility

Who are we looking for?

  • Installation & Maintenance of LV electrical systems and distribution

  • ONC/C&G/NVQ3 or equivalent in electrical engineering

  • Fault finding

  • IEE 18th Edition

  • Industrial/Factory maintenance experience is essential
  • Electricity at Work Regulations

  • Time served

  • Valid Driving Licence
  • EWP Powered access license (desirable)

  • HV experience and qualification (desirable)

  • Industrial experience (desirable)
