Paint Inspector

Equans is looking for a Paint Inspector to join our team in Dunbar on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The role holder will lead, motivate & supervise a team delivering Painting /Corrosion management tasks on work week, Helpdesk and projects.

What will you deliver?

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role with teams of up to 15 people.
  • Effective and decisive organisational skills with experience in introducing new ideas and approaches within the team.
  • Ability to lead a team and communicate across all levels working within performance management systems.
  • Experience in developing operational teams, focused on service delivery.
  • Sound understanding of H&S, environment and QA procedures.
  • IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications and other information management systems.

Who are we looking for?

  • Qualifications – Time served or as a minimum NVQ Level 2 in a specialism relevant to the role (e.g. Painters).
  • Flexibility and adaptability to lead the team in a changing business environment.
  • Commercial awareness to forecast accurate timings and communicate with client for updates.
  • An ability to work under pressure taking ownership of all delegated tasks ensuring that all work is of a high standard.
  • Able to Plan and prioritise work.
  • Provide out of hours cover where required.
