General Overview:
•Skilled operative to carry out PPM / reactive tasks and LV electrical installations.

Electrician
Equans is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Somerset at Hinkley Point B on a permanent basis for our EDF contract. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
The Electrician is responsible for delivery of all aspects of Electrical work that falls under the responsibility of Equans. This will consist of project related work, testing routines, enhancement work and preventative maintenance routines. All carried out within strict safety, quality, time and cost parameters.

Electrician
EQUANS are recruiting for an Electrician to be based in Oldham. This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £37,793, van & fuel card and benefits package.
General Overview
To carry out the duties as an Electrician in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures. To assist the Team in producing a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract and in a safe manner. Adhere to all requirements set by SHEQ team, policy, and strategy.
Be part of an on-call Rota to cover Out of Hours breakdowns as required.
Key Accountabilities
- Carry out various Electrical tasks to a high standard as instructed by the company including:
- Replacement of Consumer units.
- Installing final sub-circuit wiring.
- Fault finding
- Replacement of final circuit accessories (sockets light switches etc).
- Replacement of extractor fans in bathrooms and toilets.
- Replacement of light fittings in line with manufactures instructions.
- Testing in line with current edition of wiring regulations (BS.7671)
- Fault finding and carrying out remedial works in accordance with current regulations.
- Be competent in completing all relevant and current certification for example (EICR EIC and Minor works)
- Assist with the adherence to the Company quality standards including:
- Compliance with specification
- Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules
- High quality Customer Care must always act in a polite and professional manor.
- Maintain and care for all company tools.
- 1st time fix to be achieved wherever possible.
- To use appropriate safety equipment
- To wear appropriate clothing / uniform
- To ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day.
- To be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy.
- To be responsible for holding keys for communal entrances, meter cupboards and allow access where appropriate.

M&E Supervisor
Equans is looking for an M&E Supervisor to join our team in Uxbridge, Middlesex working on our contract with Coca-Cola on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. It is also expected that should a Shift Engineer be on leave or absent, the M&E Supervisor will cover those hours.
On offer is a salary up to £54,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Ensure that works are conducted in line with the EQUANS SSoW & Permit to Work system, ensuring adequate procedures and processes are in place
- Issuing of Authority to Work and conducting Contractor reviews
- Provide input into the management of the planned maintenance schedule, ensuring associated work tasks are completed in accordance with the agreed PPM planner, SLA and KPI targets, including first hand support (where required) for contract update meetings with the client
- Complete PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirements, and arrange for the site team to complete tasks in line with the company competency appointment(s)
- Prepare Authorisations to work (as per Permit System) and Supervise works carried out by specialist sub-contractors, reporting anomalies to the FM Manager/ SHEQ Manager

Maintenance Electrician

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team providing FM maintenance within our facilities team at Central Middlesex University Hospital in Park Royal, NW10. This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hrs p/week from 8am-5pm.
The role:
- Reporting to the M&E Supervisor
- To provide technical engineering support for the Hard FM Services department and carry out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
- To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI’s
- To manage Contractors as necessary
- Working 40 hours per week from 0800 to 1700, Monday to Friday
- Requirement to participate in the out of hours on call rota and be able to respond/attend site within one hour of the call.
The person:
- Must hold a recognised Electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Electrical discipline with suitable industry experience

Equans is looking for x4 Mobile Electricians to join our team in Leeds on a permanent basis.
This is a full time role to carry out electrical repairs and electrical testing work to occupied properties and communal area to Anchor Sheltered, retirement and Care Homes.

- To deliver electrical planned and reactive maintenance and scheduled installation works

- To cover for other technicians as necessary

The person:

- Must be able to work independently and when appropriate as part of a team.

Equans is looking for 3x Maintenance Electricians to join our team in Blackburn on a permanent basis for our Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
Based at Royal Blackburn Hospital, the Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for
The Maintenance Electrician will complete electrical and some mechanical engineering activities and undertake duties for which their trained and competent to do. There is a Technical Services management team based on site that can offer specialised technical advice and who can liaise with the appropriate levels of management to facilitate all works and activities are delivered and managed in accordance with all relevant regulations and guidance.
• Carries out electrical planned and reactive maintenance on all on site infrastructure.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and develop excellent professional working relationship to ensure a smooth running of the business.
• Organise works allocated in a timely manner and work supportively with the team.
• Carry out operational activities in a manner that ensures personal safety and in a manner that does not endanger the safety of others.
• Ensure that Equans are able to meet their statutory and contractual obligations whilst simultaneously providing an excellent service to our customers.
• Diagnose, fault-find, commission systems, monitor and assess ongoing machine/facility performance, through Planned Preventive Maintenance programme, identifying any additional works required.
• Assist in installing, commissioning, and servicing plant, equipment and specialist healthcare/ patient equipment.
• At all times maintain a smart appearance and professional manner that is representative of EQUANS in the workplace.
• Carry out and assist in planned/reactive maintenance to on-site systems.
• Flexible working hours required which may include overtime working
• Participate in the on-call rota.
• Administer and complete relevant paperwork.
• Fair, consistent, and courteous attitude in all dealings at all levels.
• Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of problems and deal with them to their conclusion.
• Ensure that all issues are reported to the Technical Services Supervisor/ Technical Services Manager.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, NHS and company procedures, maintaining up to date knowledge always.
• Participate in the on-call system.
Impact:
The individual will play a vital role to Equans, working alongside an already established technical team to ensure that the operations are legally and contractually compliant and represent excellence in service delivery.
Complexity:
The primary complexities of the role are around the management of the workflow from helpdesk/ CAFM system through to completion and sign off. We are looking for a driven individual to add expertise and dimension to the FM team. They will be able to demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in responding to changing business requirements and will establish good working relationships with their team members. Qualifications and Required Experience:
• Apprentice trained and qualified/experienced in relevant trade (Electrical)
• Basic computer literate.
• Experience particularly in the healthcare environment. (Desirable)
• Attention to detail and problem solving.
• A self-starter, good attitude, good communicator and a people person
• Health & Safety courses qualifications (i.e. company or industry standard).
• Experience of working with contractors.
• Strong customer focus with experience of delivering high standards of Customer Service, previous FM experience within a hospital and/or PFI environment or a similar large, complex and technically demanding site would be an advantage.
• Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely.
• Experience of working within safe systems of work (SSOW) – permit to work, induction process, etc.
• Preferably experienced with HVAC, Pump systems, Lighting and Power, Fire Alarms, IPS, UPS, BMS, Generation, Passenger/ Goods Lifts, Switchgear.
• Good knowledge of It based systems such as Microsoft Office and CAFM based hand held devices.
• Sound knowledge of the practical implementation of Health & Safety.
• Experience of working within a Healthcare environment desirable but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Mobile Electrician
Equans is recruiting for a Mobile Electrician on the HMCTS contract based from Cardiff covering various sites across South Wales. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Conduct routine PPM on electrical infrastructure and plant per site task schedules and CAFM system.
- Promptly address and resolve plant faults and defects to maintain serviceable order.
- Perform control and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure the availability of necessary spares for maintenance and reactive works. Provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and CAFM entries for PPM, reactive, and breakdown works promptly and accurately.
- Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
- Develop positive working relationships with all Equans staff, subcontractors, and client representatives. Maintain a professional image at all times.
- Keep plant rooms under Equans' responsibility clean and tidy, and ensure up-to-date plant logs.
- Monitor sub-contractors’ work while on site, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be adaptable to changing working patterns.
- Operate a Permit to Work System in line with Equans' Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements.
- Provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.
- Carry out any other duties as directed by the account management team.

Site Maintenance Electrician
Equans is looking for a Site Maintenance Electrician to join our team in Wakefield on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £39,000 - £42,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630.
What will you deliver?
- Respond to reactive breakdowns and complete PPM tasks as per appointment and competency
- Conduct small electrical installations or repairs as needed
- Perform annual and monthly emergency lighting checks
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly PPM checks
- Take regular meter readings
- Maintain plant rooms, storerooms, and other work areas, ensuring they are tidy and well-organized
- Conduct water hygiene (L8) checks
- Identify and address safety hazards
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure control of permits and supervise work
- Monitor and report stock levels and spares to the Electrical Supervisor
- Manage deliveries of materials and items
- Ensure that all maintenance and project records are accurate and up to date
