Compliance Auditor
EQUANS is looking for a Compliance Auditor to join our team based in Stratford on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Compliance Auditor role is part of our front-line customer facing team with the responsibility of dealing high end maintenance in line with company policy and provide an active communication channel on work being carried out with parties involved. The role will be responsible for delivering the auditing function on PPM MM RW, which carry financial penalties if the SLA are not met.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for all Technical PPM RW MW auditing for their allocated sites and be responsible for helping deliver other technical works within the area they are located within their skill set.
What will you deliver?
- Attend meetings with auditees to develop an understanding of business processes
- Travel to different sites to meet relevant staff and obtain documents and information
- Ensure the MOPAC contract remains compliant within the following areas PPM, RW, MW
- Work closely with onsite engineers & Equans Auditors
- Review sites as agreed with Senior Compliance Manager on a regular basis, ensuring sites are being maintained to a high standard, ensuring PPM is carried out in line with schedule 7B and recorded in the correct way in the onsite logbooks
- Maintain Equans site logbooks ensuring paperwork is replenished, folders are replaced if damaged and old documentation is archived
- Ensure Minor Work audits are reviewed against the BOQ and are carried out as per the scope of work by contractors and is completed to a high standard
- Review plant and plant rooms providing detailed reports of any issues found to ensure all are dealt with in a timely manner
- Record on Aims unsafe acts and near misses where necessary
- Record on Aims, a minimum of x2 monthly MSV (Management Safety Visits) and include 1x observation on each MSV
- Undertake escorting of contractors & Allianz surveyors as and when it is required
- Work closely with Senior Compliance Manager to assist him in preparing for TCA & SHEQ Audits
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance and new works
- Ensure all record keeping functions are completed
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of workmanship and safety
- Understanding of escalation procedures
- Conduct planned site audits to include logbooks are completed correctly.

Who are we looking for?
- Experience within a similar role/environment is essential
- Good Knowledge of M&E equipment
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- Computer literate with good skills in Word, Excel, email, internet etc
- Able to work on own initiative
- Good knowledge of SHEQ procedures, risk assessments, work permits etc.
This role includes a CTC Clearance check therefore ability to pass is essential.

Legal Counsel
Equans is looking for a Legal Councel to join our team on a hybrid basis with one day per week in either Bevis Marks - London or Leeds on a 9-12 month FTC basis. Equans UK has an exciting opportunity for a fixed term contract for a legal counsel within its Digital and Energy Services (“DES”) division. DES is a division of Equans in the UK which offers fully integrated digital and energy solutions for our customers including embedded energy, energy solutions in particular solar and hydrogen, energy and carbon consulting, connected cities, electric vehicule charging and smart buildings.
This role reports directly to the Head of Legal for the DES division. The individual will also work closely with the DES legal and business teams especially business development, commercial and senior management and externally with counterparty legal advisers, Equans’ external legal advisers, contract counterparties and customers.
What will you deliver?
- Provide timely, high quality, practical and commercially focused legal advice balancing legal risk with the commercial needs of the business.
- Providing commercially focused legal advice on a broad range of projects ensuring compliance with applicable law.
- Reviewing, negotiating and/or drafting agreements and conducting contract negotiations with project counterparties including development, construction, O&M, financing, offtake and joint venture agreements for a wide range of projects
- Supporting on commercial and contractual matters for tenders, projects, variations and on-going contractual and operational matters for the areas within DES.
- Assisting on the governance of transactions at local and Equans group level.
- Working closely with colleagues throughout the Equans’ group and with customers.
- Managing external legal resource as required.
- Assisting in developing and delivering training on legal matters for colleagues across the Equans business.

Who are we looking for?
- Good knowledge of relevant areas of law including contract and commercial.
- Knowledge of or experience in the UK power generation and energy industry preferred.
- Strong drafting, negotiating and analytical skills. Ability to draft and negotiate a variety of documentation including development agreements, construction contracts, O&M agreements, financing and offtake arrangements and joint venture agreements. Experience with SaaS agreements would be welcomed but is not essential.
- Ability to deal with risk management, governance and compliance.
- Ability to manage a sizeable workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with stakeholder management but also able to work with colleagues at all levels of the business.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others in a constructive manner.
