Commercial Assistant
Equans is looking for a Commercial Assistant to join our team in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This is a full-time role working 42.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The main purpose of the role is to proactively support the commercial team on the successful management and control all aspects of the commercial / financial and contractual elements of the project in order to control and recover all commercial entitlements. This is to include, assisting the commercial team by ensuring all value is captured, inclusive of measuring and valuing all works carried using the agreed commercial model, ensuring costs are allocated correctly, and preparation and administration of weekly / monthly applications.
What will you deliver?
- Ensure all value is captured, inclusive of measuring and valuing all works using the agreed schedule of rates.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date commercial records.
- Sub-contract procurement, payments and commercial management
- Preparation of documentation and the like for valuation, procurement or commercial administration.
- Assisting and liaising with the buyers on materials procurement and buying opportunities.
- Develop an understanding of the designated contract, specification and pricing ensuring compliance with conditions throughout

Who are we looking for?
- Experience in Social Housing Refurbishment; Responsive Maintenance, Voids, Cyclical, Aids & Adaptations, Capital & Investment Works.
- Previous experience in a commercial, accounting or administrative role.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good level of numeracy
- IT skills – MS Office, Excel, Project, Word etc

Social Value Officer
Equans is looking for a Social value Officer to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis.
This is a full time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- To co-ordinate and deliver Social Value outputs on multiple contracts in line with bid commitments and agreed timescales
- To ensure Social Value commitments on all regional projects are effectively and accurately recorded and reported consistent with internal processes
- To support with content for Bids and Tenders aligned to regional and client objectives and priorities
- To be a collaboration, open and supportive member of the Central Social Value Team.

Who are we looking for?
- Self-motivated but also able to work as part of a team
- Confident communicator with ability to talk to people of various educational, social, and ethnic backgrounds. Strong attention to detail
- Confident in producing, analysing, and interpreting numerical data
- Strong literacy skills to support production of reports, case studies and social media posts
- Able to work independently on multiple projects prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Social Value legislation in the UK
