Equans are working closely in partnership with the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust to prepare for the opening of the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), the brand-new centre of healthcare provision for the local community.

Joining our team at MMUH, as part of a wider team responsible for maintenance across other sites within the Trust’s estate, you will have a unique opportunity to provide valuable input into the vital final stages prior to opening, influencing how the future management and maintenance of the facility is delivered. You will work on the site throughout the remaining construction and commissioning phases, liaising closely with both the Trust and constructor, and then to continue to maintain the completed hospital.

Equans is looking for a HR Advisor to join our team at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary up to £35,000, dependent upon skills and experience, and benefits package.
As a member of ETS South team contributing to the People Objectives of the Region the purpose of the role is to provide an efficient dedicated first line support to the Mid and Front-Line management population within the Business Unit supporting all on HR policy and practise such as disciplinary, grievance, absence & performance management.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of HR Advisor support for the Midlands Metropolitan Hospital mobilisation, people matters, supporting line managers to deliver improvements in culture, change management, compliance, and cost control to drive improved engagement and financial results.

What will you deliver?
- Liaising with line managers and the resourcing team to optimise recruitment opportunities.
- Update databases to track the progress of the mobilisation process
- Ensuring attendance management is monitored in detail, agreeing plans to improve with line managers and supporting delivery
- Contribute to the communication and engagement processes
- Contribute to development of HR processes and materials
- Provide HR support on sites to deliver local consultation exercises as required
- Assist with programme planning for consultation group and individual meetings and presentations
- Produce documentation including employee communications, spreadsheets and presentations
- Arrange meetings, calendar appointments, room bookings for the HR mobilisation team
- Attend meetings as required, taking notes/minutes as appropriate
- Support the onboarding process for transferring employees
- Coach and advise re EQUANS policies and procedures, ways of working and best practice
- Liaison with HR Shared Service Centre, Payroll and Pensions teams
- Provide support to mobilisation team colleagues, line managers and supervisors to ensure best practice and employee engagement are enhanced
- Advice on early-stage grievance / disciplinary action including attendance at hearings as appropriate only
- Monitoring of the annual PDR cycle, acting as a super-user, and ensuring completion in a timely manner on Palantair
- Supporting with the month end reporting process ensuring that data is collated, accurate and provided on time
- Analysis of progress against people KPIs, providing recommendations for improvement and monitoring outcomes
- Disseminating communications, spreadsheet, policies & processes, and updates on progress against people objectives
- Compliance checking and review including clearances, adherence to government and process controls and GDPR

Equans are looking for a HR Administrator to join our team in Wath-Upon-Dearne on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.
Please note this role will be covering the HR Administration in the North region for Equans.
What will you deliver?
- Assist where necessary with employee queries
- Assist the HR Advisor as required
- Prepare and send out offer letters and contracts to new employees and provide payroll with all the relevant information
- Send out reference requests for all new employees and chase for responses as appropriate and complete all ex-employee references
- Complete all paperwork in relation to leavers – letter to employee confirming dates, exit interview questionnaire, information to payroll / fleet / mobiles / IT

Regional SHEQ Manager
Equans is looking for a Regional SHEQ Manager to join our team in Scotland on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.
This role will identify and deliver solutions to improve operational safety, health, environment & quality (SHEQ) in contracts in the part of Technical Services that they are assigned to. Working closely, and in partnership, with the operational teams and the Responsible Business, CDM and TS SHEQ Solutions teams this role will ensure the Equans objectives, Responsible Business (RB) & SHEQ culture are embedded within sites and contracts at a regional level.
Hours may vary on operational requirements however standard hours are 08:00 -16:30. Some out of hours may be required as well as travel/nights away.
What will you deliver?
- Provide guidance and leadership to ensure that contracts in the Technical Services (TS) division meet their statutory safety and environment requirements and to assist contracts in delivering on responsible business initiatives.
- Management of RB & SHEQ across the Regional Operational area to ensure all work is undertaken to external and internal standards and guidelines.
- Work with the Sr RB & SHEQ Managers, SHEQ Solutions BPs, RB, CDM and Central SHEQ to utilise and maintain adequate systems to meet all statutory and EQUANS obligations.
- Ensure all reportable data (Near Misses, Accidents, RIDDORs, HiPos, LTI’s, Incidents, LSV/MSV, Waste, Water, Energy, Social Initiatives, Volunteering etc) is recorded accurately on the contract – coach contracts, sites and individuals where required.
- Establish RB & SHEQ Action Plans for each contract with the Contract Director/Manager – these outputs will deliver safer workplaces, improved employee engagement, culture and support our work-winning activity as models of best practice.
- Act on the findings of RB & SHEQ Audits – providing guidance to the sites and feedback to SHEQ Solutions on tools, processes and systems that made be needed to improve the safety and quality of our work.
- Actively promote and champion Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and our Responsible Business (RB) agenda across the contracts that you will be responsible for.
- Lead investigations and liaise with stakeholders, ensuring detailed investigations are undertaken and full reports/ recommendations are provided – these reports will adequately identify the root causes of incidents.
- Support key bids, attend tender interviews, lead competitive dialogue in the bid process to demonstrate that H&S is top the agenda.

What will you deliver?

As HR Benefits Advisor, you will be responsible for all HR benefits activities for Equans UK. You will provide an exceptional, quality service to support both new starters, and existing employees of Equans UK. This is a varied role, where you will work with multiple stakeholders, and deal with various benefits across the company including, but not limited to: Insurances, Optional benefits, Cycle to work scheme, Holiday trading scheme and more.

Key Deliverables:

- Support the administrative activity of the Annual Benefits Window, ensuring payments and deductions are calculated and recorded to the payroll system.

- Calculate benefit payments and deductions and record in the payroll system.
