Security Manager

Equans is looking for a Security Manager to join our team in Tameside General Hospital and Salford Royal Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:  0900-1700, 5 days a week 

What will you deliver?

  • To Manage, lead, and harmonise the Security Service Teams and to represent Equans on all Security matters and relevant meetings associated with Security Services.
  • Coordinate with the existing on-site technical managers/teams where required.
  • Ensure the security officers are undertaking work within their specific areas as instructed and complying to the company Health and Safety requirements.
  • Support and lead the Assistant Security Manager with any problems concerning conduct or work ethics of any security officers or any other issues that arise.
  • Adherence and reporting on all contractual deliverables.
  • Ensure Health and Safety responsibilities are observed and complied with at all times
  • Security provision including H&S, Fire Precautions and First Aid
  • Operate CCTV systems to allow for interrogation when required through formal request from the client.
  • Maintain a high-profile presence of the function with regards to the client, visitors and contractors
  • To produce regular update reports to the Contract Manager, Account Director and the client as required.
  • To Implement/review in conjunction with the client, emergency Procedures for the site, ensuring that Security personnel are trained in such procedures.
  • Assist the Contract Manager where appropriate on matters relating to, and or arising from the Security Service.
  • Ensure full compliance to SLA’s and KPI’s to ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Ensure the Security service is aligned to Business Continuity Plans and Incident Recovery.
  • Undertake and fulfill any other reasonable requests made by the business.

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous management experience is essential.
  • Healthcare experience/knowledge would be an advantage.
  • SIA Licence Certification held (frontline desirable but not essential).
  • BS7858
  • Familiar and or trained in MAYBO

Security Officer

Equans is looking for a Security Officer to join our team in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, EH16 4SA on a fixed term basis. This is a full time role working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11.09 per hour and allowances.

Shift Pattern: 4 days on duty (0700 - 1900), 4 days off duty, 4 nights on duty (1900 - 0700) and 4 days off duty.

What will you deliver?

  • Operating all systems within the security control room.
  • First response to the building fire alarm system.
  • Answering telephone calls from staff for assistance, requests & information.
  • Monitoring and responding to alarms systems.
  • Liaising with emergency services during incidents.
  • Monitoring and reviewing CCTV systems.
  • Operate the access control systems.
  • Carry out security patrols of the building and grounds.

  • Current valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Current valid SIA CCTV License.
  • Physical ability to pass MAYBO level 4 course.

Night Security Officer

Equans is looking for a Night Security Officer to join our team at EDF West Burton in Retford on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £23,975 and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: 3 Nights on 3 Nights Off rotating through 12 hour shifts

What will you deliver?

  • Protect the sites property and employees against loss or damage caused by fire, theft, flood or accident.
  • Ensure that only authorised persons are granted site access.
  • Controlling access and egress of vehicles, cranes and abnormal loads.
  • Patrolling by foot or vehicle as directed by the Team Leader.
  • Ensuring Lockup and Unlock are carried out at the required time and that buildings are secure when not in use.
  • Reporting suspicious persons, vehicles or objects.
  • Monitoring CCTV in accordance with LOP’s, AI’s and ICO guidelines.
  • To provide First Aid when called upon.
  • Undertaking other duties as required, these may be outside your normal duties but will be required to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the business.

Security Officer (Mobile Patrol)

Equans is looking for a Security Officer (Mobile Patrol) to join our team in Grimsby, DN37 9TZ on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary up to £26,414 including shift and weekend allowances.

Shift Pattern: Shifts will include days, nights, weekends and bank holidays

What will you deliver?

  • To work as a member of a multi-functional security service on a shift rotation and support all the different elements of the service with the provision of an effective and professional security service
  • The role will focus on the following job requirements:
  • To provide a mobile surveillance patrol to premises using electronic data recording equipment where require
  • To provide the first response to intruder alarm call
  • Respond to emergencies as requested via the Control center
  • To provide written reports on all incidents of crime & disorder
  • Maintain close liaison with the Police and relevant authorities
  • Responsible for the collection of monies from allocated sites
  • Responsible for the welfare and handling of patrol dogs

Equans is looking for a Security & CCTV Control Room Operative to join our team in Grimsby, DN31 1HN on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £26,617 inclusive of shift and weekend working allowances and benefits package.

  • We are looking for a confident and motivated professional who will work as part of a team of security professionals who deliver a number of security solutions to their clients in North East Lincolnshire.
