General Manager
Equans is looking for a General Manager – Hard FM to join our team in London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Responsible for the management and delivery for the UHL contract. To facilitate Hard FM activities undertaking the functional, technical and management aspects of the FM contract with respect to planned/reactive maintenance, project work and lifecycle programme requirements.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a PFI and healthcare setting, a technical background either mechanical or electrical, commercial and financial acumen and excellent stakeholder management.
What will you deliver?
- Responsible for the delivery of hard services to the highest standard, ensuring the effective management of staff, the provision of excellent customer service and compliance with contract and company requirements
- Assist with the effective management of contractual performance, including the incurrence of financial penalties, to ensure that all services under your control are delivered to the contract specification and that all changes, developments and additional services are recorded accordingly with the commercial activity of the contract
- Exercise financial and commercial controls in the management of expenditure and income within agreed budgets. To maximise profitability of operations and deliver ongoing cost savings
- Lead and manage service delivery and customer contact, to ensure the provision of highest impressions of quality, customer care, proactivity and professionalism to our customer/clients and staff
- Manage the business cost effectively with respect to supply chain efficiency in order to achieve best value for money in the procurement of services and goods
- Manage all associated subcontracted services and to ensure that subcontractors are able to carry out their duties in a safe and timely manner and that work is contractually compliant. Complete all associated paperwork and conduct regular service review meetings
- Submit quotations, estimates and tenders for additional work as requested and to be responsible for the preparation, accuracy and processing of all accounts following completion of projects/events, in accordance with company guidelines and procedures
- Manage resource requirements for the Hard FM service, including the provision of labour and materials
- Ensure compliance in the completion of COSHH and Risk Assessment records and all associated health and safety documentation, ensuring industry legislation and company quality systems are adhered to and that these areas are effectively managed at all times
- Meet with the client, Hard FM team, suppliers and subcontractors when necessary in order to maintain appropriate levels of service
- Fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans

Senior Technical Services Manager
Equans is looking for an Senior Technical Services Manager to join our team in Wakefield on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week.
On offer is a salary of £68.000 dependent on skills, knowledge and experience, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Flexible location, preferably North of England (Travel Across UK is required)
The Senior Technical Services Manager will report directly to the Account Director. You will lead, motivate, support, and provide direct guidance to the Site Facilities Managers, Supervisors and operatives in providing the technical service delivery across all the CCEP sites across the UK.
Ensure delivery of effective and efficient maintenance services encompassing mechanical, electrical, building fabric and small project management. Core elements will include management of the National Electrical Testing and Inspection Team, Health & Safety, communication between the internal technical team and client contacts on day-to-day activities, owning statutory and mandatory compliance.
The role holder will support in the procurement, setting to work and monitoring of key service providers, ensuring inspections, maintenance, testing, verification and repairs are carried out to the correct standard and corrective actions are raised and completion documentation received and verified in accordance with statutory and regulatory compliance.
What will you deliver?
- Provide assurance of contractual and statutory compliance, identifying areas of technical risk, and ensuring these are highlighted and solutions sought and train our staff in compliance management best practices.
- Ensure defined policy and procedures are adopted by the business, to evidence compliance with all engineering standards including Legislation, ACOP, British, European and International Standards and industry best practice inc SFG20.
- To work closely with operational and other business teams to put in place the appropriate standards, systems, processes and ways of working, to deliver excellence in all engineering disciplines.
- Ensure Equans safe systems of work, in line with contract specification and recognised codes of practice and carry out the duties of Authorised Person, as designated, in accordance with Company standards for the multiple systems designated to you (following training, assessment and formal appointment)
- Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both Equans and subcontractors’ activities and are regularly reviewed.
- Manage compliance and ensure it is fully up to date from respective Facilities Managers/supervisors.
- Manage and oversee external sub-contractors and professionals following company contractor management processes
- Ensuring that contractor and the in-house engineering team are competence checked and they are appointed as Competent Persons.
- Develop and maintain close relationships and liaison with internal/external stakeholders, i.e. Facilities and Utilities Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, Senior Operations manager, site delivery team
- To always observe statutory and other relevant requirements, in particular those relating to the Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH Regulations and Electrical IEE regulations, PSSR and H&S Guidance notes.
- To carry out any other such reasonable tasks and duties relevant to the post as may be required
- Supporting FM’s interface between client communications and providing Technical/ contractual backup.
- Working with direct reports to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective teamworking, and support to colleagues. – Ensure safe systems of work are in place and always used.
- Ensure that the contract delivery team has sufficient appointed persons to undertake works as per Equans Safety Rules
- Undertake AP/RP positions/duties such as L8, Pressure Systems. LV/HV – Ensure adherence to all Statutory Standards and Regulations.
- Ensure that staff performance is managed as required through for example, performance appraisals, disciplinary proceedings, and grievances.
- Proactively identify and manage the professional development and training needs of the technical staff.
- Produce technical reports and evidence as required for assurance and auditing.

Who are we looking for?
- Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeship
- HNC/ONC/C&G or equivalent in relevant mechanical/electrical/building engineering discipline.
- Proven management experience of Hard FM teams.
- Knowledge and understanding of SFG Specifications, British Standards.

Facilities Manager
Equans is looking for a Facilities Manager to join our team in Sidcup on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary bonus and benefits package.
The role holder will be responsible for all aspects of TFM service delivery at the site.
Lead the engagement with building users groups and employee forums to understand perceptions of performance of the services and how the services could be better tailored to the client for the future. In addition to this will also be the responsibility of the delivery of Additional Works that are identified as a result of our delivery.

Account Director
Equans is looking for an Account Director to join our team in London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
This role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of Contractual and Technical Services to the Clifford Chance Contract. The Clifford Chance contract is of high importance to Equans and delivers critical FM services via the onsite team, specialist contractors and with support from the wider Equans Business in a safe and effective way.
Reporting to the Operations Director the post holder will manage several small accounts in and around London and manage 5 direct reports. The Account Director will be expected to be on site 4 days per week in Canary Wharf.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience at Account Manager or Director level within the FM industry, previous experience holding P+L responsibility, building strong client relationships and team management.
What will you deliver?
- Develop and maintain a healthy business relationship with the Client which includes promoting Equans Business capabilities, building trust and maximises growth opportunities
- Work with on-site teams to ensure Services are delivered and Stadium Events are adequately supported in the most efficient and effective manner ensuring all contractual KPIs, SLAs & deliverables are achieved, taking positive steps to address where not
- At the start of each financial year, to develop Business Plans which outline strategic and tactical goals for the success of the Contract. As a minimum, this should include Operational, Safety, Financial, Business Continuity Planning, Energy and Sustainable initiatives
- Continuously drive continuous improvement programmes, promoting and deploying technologies in line with a Smart Buildings ethos
- Ownership, preparation and timely submission of all MI, Reports and Risk Registers into the Customer and Business
- Ensure all operational, safety, people and financial targets and forecasts are achieved across the contract and where necessary develop detailed recovery plans to address underperformance
- Develops, recommends, implements standard operating procedures and policies to economise service delivery across the Contract while increasing productivity
- Oversees supply purchasing for the Contract ensuring compliance to budget, and policy. Deploy, maintain and account for onsite inventories via the onsite teams
- Drive and constantly promote a safety-first culture ensuring Statutory Compliance of the Contract at all times and the Safe Working of all Equans employees and contractors when on site
- Ensure all elements of employment procedures and processes, including disciplinary & grievance, attendance management and performance management are adhered to in accordance with Company policies
- Responsible for employee development, succession planning, employee empowerment and talent management across teams including support for talent pipelines ie. Apprenticeships
- Management of all non-conformances (NCR’s) across the Contract
- Managing and organising the Responsible Business plan for the BU across the Contract

Account Director
Equans is looking for an Account Director to join our team on a 12 month FTC basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The role holder will provide leadership across all elements of the CCEP contract with a strong focus on service delivery, commercial matters and client relationship management.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Account Director will be the senior lead for communicating and delivering the strategic direction across the contract.

Soft Services Manager

Head of Project and Estates
Equans is looking for a Head of Project and Estates to join our team at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
This is an onsite role.
The post holder will report into the Account Director and is expected to provide senior leadership to the technical service delivery for this large acute hospital site including operational delivery along with the delivery of projects. The operational budget is approximately £11m, and the expected spend on projects is in the region of £8m plus.
The post holder will lead the technical compliance and assurance function, and the senior operations management team, as well as senior project managers, 1 small works manager. In total there are 17 managers/supervisors in the team with a further 80 people below them. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a focus on the delivery of excellence and efficiency to help the already successful team continue to improve and deliver.
We are looking for someone with previous experience of operating at a senior level within operational teams, and ideally have experience of managing technical services in a healthcare environment, understanding HBN’s and HTM’s. Excellent customer service with the ability to negotiate with, and manage, senior stakeholders in the client organisations to ensure that our service delivery is within the scope of our contract and that operational efficiencies and effectiveness is maintained.

- Ensure all project work activities (capital, lifecycle, major works) are carried out safely and in accordance with statutory and corporate regulations and legislation, Healthcare Standards and Specifications, Total Project Management, ensuring all ‘Projects’ are managed, operated and completed with uncompromised efficiency, on time and to budget
- Work with the clients and the Project management teams to maximise the opportunities that arise from the redevelopment, variation, and lifecycle projects to deliver excellent outcomes for all parties
- Liaise with all relevant parties involved with ‘Projects’, including working with the Client to interpret and develop a brief/scope of works in order achieving sign off prior to pipeline works commencement, planning, during the works and through to completion
- Develop a contract specific plan for works (including design, procurement, PPP pack review and sign off, works/construction, commissioning, training etc) for the ‘Project’ to ensure the completion date is achieved and without incident
- Ensure that the Company and on-site processes ensuring all relevant documentation is prepared/completed for our governance process including the provision of costs, programmes, risk analysis, PPP works documentation etc. if processes are not developed/in place this role is responsible for their design and implementation
- Carry out ‘Project’ review meetings in line with Project Management good practice
- Ensure all Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations are followed where appropriate and ensure all company paperwork relevant to this is completed
- Liaise and coordinate with EQUANS Operational colleagues, sub-contractors and other Partners such that FM services are seen as a seamless service delivery
- To provide professional technical advice and support to the contract team
- To ensure that the engineering services meet to a high standard and in full compliance with all statutory, mandatory, and contractual requirements

Who are we looking for?
- Educated to degree level or equivalent through experience in a relevant discipline
- Demonstrable & varied experience in construction related client-side project management or operational delivery
- Experience of healthcare service delivery at a senior level
- Thorough understanding of the principles of project management for construction
- Facilities Management experience
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
