Project Supervisor

Equans is looking for a Project Supervisor to join our team in Stoke on a fixed term contract of 12 months. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

As the Project Supervisor you will be required To procure/tender and monitor all hand back works activity through to completion. To monitor sub-contractor performance with specific reference to the delivery of planned works including both lifecycle and additional works.  Accountable to the Project Manager for the day-to-day supervision, monitoring and performance of sub-contractors.

What will you deliver? 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the lifecycle projects in order to meet the contractual agreement
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial sub-contracts
  • Oversee all contract activities to ensure all safety aspects are managed and monitored in accordance with site procedures and requirements
  • Take ownership of the client’s needs and pursue effective communications with the customer in order to build a stable relationship
  • Operate Equans QA procedures and maintain clear and legible records as required
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures, maintaining up to date knowledge of H&S and environmental regulations
  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems
  • Ability to measure, work to plans (method statements), read technical diagrams and communicate, present and report technical information
  • Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of problems through to satisfactory conclusion

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications preferred
  • Professional qualifications, or working towards, MBIFM/CMI or similar
  • Strong customer focus with experience of delivering high standards of Customer Service. Previous FM experience within a PFI environment would be an advantage
  • Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment
  • Demonstrable experience in Project management, formal qualifications would be preferable
  • Competent in use of Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel to produce accurate and well-presented text, data and pictorial reports

This role includes an enhanced DBS check with barred lists therefore ability to pass is essential.

Mechanical Maintenance Assistant

Equans is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Worcester Royal Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

The Mechanical Maintenance Assistant will be planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the healthcare estate. The position ensures that Equans are able to meet their statutory and contractual obligations whilst simultaneously providing an excellent service to our customers.

What will you deliver? 

  • To undertake a proactive role in carrying out first response to reactive jobs and complete the higher level tasks such as Vent cleans, Light Cleans, Unblocking of toilets Etc
  • To undertake a proactive role in carrying out the high level maintenance and inspection of mechanical, electrical and associated building services
  • Represent Equans in a respectful and professional manner
  • Part of a engineering team you will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to various Services across site on various aspects of the building services
  • Assist in Carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works
  • Assist in Carrying out systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment
  • Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines
  • Maintain records as and when appropriate and as required, whether written or electronic
  • Carry out risk assessments on-site as instructed by supervisor / manager
  • Undertake training where necessary to learn other skills
