Ward Host / Catering Assistant

EQUANS are recruiting for a Ward Host / Catering Assistant to be based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, EH16 4SA. This is a permanent part-time role working 20 hours per week. On offer is a Competitive salary and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 6:30am-10:30am

What will you deliver?

  • To provide a safe, hygienic, nutritious, and timely food service for patients.
  • Assisting in the delivery of a high standard of food service which meets the requirements of food hygiene legislation
  • Ward host/hostess would be expected to do basic food prep if required to go down to the main kitchen (pick/pack area)
  • Maintaining high standards of personal and general food hygiene as well as high standards of cleanliness in all work areas
  • Ward hosts would be expected to do basic food prep when in pick and pack along with minimal cleaning duties
  • Ensure that a high standard of personal grooming is maintained including wearing the required uniform and PPE provided.

Food Service Assistant

Equans is looking for x2 Food Service Assistants to join our team in EDF Hinkley Point B, TA5 1UD on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 35 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £19838 dependant upon skills and experience and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 7-2pm 

What will you deliver?

  • Serve food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation, and combinations in line with brand standards and answer questions about the products.
  • Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services including hot deli and live action in line with EQUANS Catering standards.

Catering Assistant

Equans is looking for a Catering Assistant to join our team in Bury, BL9 8RE on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £21,174.40 and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (07:00-16:00) 

What will you deliver?

Catering Assistants are required to be flexible according to business requirements. The focus of each job may vary however, it is expected that activities will typically include the following:

• Serve food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation and combinations in line with brand standards and answer questions about the products
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services including hot deli and live action in line with brand standards
• Take payment and keep financial records as required
• Empty cash vending machines or cashless loaders
• Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise
• Clean back of house areas, crockery and cutlery using equipment when trained to do so
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment/vending machines preparation and public areas
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults or hazards identified during the course of their work
