Equans is looking for a Apprentice Facilities Site Officer (Mobile)  to join our team working in the Peterborough School Sites. This role will be mainly based in Jack Hunt School,  PE3 9PY  This is a fixed term role working 40 hours a week for 24 months.  On completion you will gain a recognised Property Maintenance Operative Level 2 qualification On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Mon – Fri 08:00 to 17:00

What will you deliver?

The apprentice will support the site facilities teams across three schools in Peterborough. The apprentice will support qualified maintenance staff in a variety of tasks including installations, repairs, planned maintenance tasks,  general premises checks and also grounds keeper duties such as strimming, pruning, vegetation/weed removal and control, and  mowing playing fields. The apprentice will undertake a 24-month Intermediate Apprenticeship in Property Maintenance Operations and receive training in landscape and horticultural operations and will be expected to attend college on a day-release basis.

Multi Site Caretaker

Equans is looking for a Multi Site Caretaker to join our team across Newark Schools, on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £24903.45 per annum depending on skills and experience.

Shift System:

Hours of 05:30- 14:00 and 11:30 - 20:00 Monday to Friday

What will you deliver?

  • The role provides support across several education and leisure facilities where EQUANS provide services such as: maintenance; cleaning; porterage; and maintenance of the external site, including preparations for seasonal changes to the outside areas.
  • This role expects you to be a key holder and to deliver the full range of caretaking, maintenance, and ad-hoc cleaning duties, with responsibility of securing the site. You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of DIY skills.

• Demonstrate experience of practical maintenance skills, such as joinery, decorating;
• Physically fit, to enable such duties as: manual handling; working at height; mobility around large sites
over various terrains;
• Flexible approach: to provide occasional overtime, weekend cover for lettings and additional school use;
• Consistently wear the uniform, personal protective clothing provided. Be well presented at all times;

Cleaning Supervisor

EQUANS is recruiting for a Part time Cleaning Supervisor to be based in Unity College, Burnley, BB11 3DF. This is a permanent part-time role working 15 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £8,361.60 per annum.

Shifts

15:30-18:30 Monday to Friday.

What will you deliver?

To supervise the site cleaning team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the school premises is maintained.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as ‘hands on’ lead and front line supervisor for the cleaning team to deliver a quality service.
Respond in a timely manner to any issues with the delivery of routine and non-routine cleaning services.
Provide cover and undertake remedial cleaning tasks as necessary.
Complete and submit timesheets for the cleaning team.
Monitor the quality of work and complete quality control sheets as necessary.
Ensure cleaning materials and power cleaning equipment are operated in a safe and economic manner, and in accordance with their instructions for use.
Ensure that cleaning equipment and designated storage areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
Report to the Caretaker any damage to school property, or potential hazards, or any issues that are likely to affect the task to be undertaken.

Equans is looking for a Caretaker to join our team in University of West London, St Mary's Rd, London W5 5RF on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £27,997.00 and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: HOURS 40 M-F, 7am-4pm and 1pm-10pm alternating

What will you deliver?

To perform all the duties specific to the role as per below including Ad-hoc requests from the client both internal and external when required.

Example of typical Duties :

- Setting up classrooms as per end user requirements
- Setting up for large scale internal and external events including staging and bulky furniture
- Setting up of exam rooms across all sites
- Setting up for Open days, enrolment and Graduation ceremonies across all sites of the University of west 
- Setting up of student areas for practical activities
- Maintenance of UWL grounds including litter picking, jet washing, grass cutting,
- Daily maintenance check of all classrooms
- Participation in walkarounds and site inspections in preparation for events
- Assisting with the relocation of internal departments
- Daily collection of Post from the depot

Equans is looking for Multiple FLT Driver and Waste Operatives to join our team in Coca-Cola,DA14 5DF on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 43 hours per week. On offer is a Salary of  £14.10 per hour.

3in 1 Saturday and 3in 1 Sunday

What will you deliver?

  • Responsible for all basic Health and Safety rules, FLT pre -inspection checks and Balers pre – inspection checks.

  • Loading and unloading vehicles. 
  • Operating plastic and cardboard balers. 
  • Collecting waste from various waste stations in the CCEP factory.

Caretaker

EQUANS is recruiting for a Caretaker to be based in Unity College, Burnley, BB11 3DF. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £21,489.00 per annum.

Shifts

ROTATIONAL SHIFT PATTERN of 05.30-13.30 and 11.00-19.00

What will you deliver?

Responsible for the day to day management of the school premises with respect to caretaking services, together with establishing a close working relationship with the school and community groups. Ensure that all services are provided to a consistently high standard. Assist the Area Supervisor in meeting the requirements of the Project Agreement.

  • Experience of providing general cleaning and security duties and basic maintenance of buildings and associated plant and systems
  • Experience of supervising the work of others

• Able to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines.

Cleaner/ Premises Officer

Equans is looking for a Cleaner/Premises Officer on a zero hour contract to join our team working on the  Lewisham School sites, On offer is a salary from  £10.42 to 13.32 per hour depending on skills and experience and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Between the hours of 0500 & 1900, Monday to Sunday

What will you deliver?

  • To actively participate in the delivery of both Hard and Soft FM services, acting as the first point of onsite contact.
  • To respond promptly to helpdesk events, applying relevant maintenance skills to any jobs/tasks. 
  • To carry out regular litter patrols of the estate to keep premises, grounds and car park areas tidy.
  • To provide an emergency response in the event of adverse weather conditions by undertaking snow clearance and gritting.
  • To setting up of all scheduled room layouts and equipment requested. liaising with other departments to ensure the timely clear and re-set of meeting rooms.
  • To assist in the completion of weekly and monthly planned maintenance checks.
  • To be responsible for the security of the estate acting as a registered key holder. 
  • To assist in adhoc cleaning duties.
