What will you deliver? 

  • Lead the development and management of the Construction Department, ensuring staff effectiveness and resource allocation.

  • Develop and maintain a standardized approach to project delivery, protecting the company’s contractual interests and minimizing risks.
  • Support commercial teams in managing cash collection and resolving subcontract disputes.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent Cost Value Reports for all schemes and support performance improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director on all commercial matters and attend tender adjudication and contribution meetings to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure that KPI targets are met, while addressing client complaints effectively.
  • Oversee procurement processes to ensure timely support for site teams and alignment with programme schedules.

  • Proven leadership in managing and developing construction teams, including resource management, staff recruitment, and performance appraisal.
  • Strong contract administration skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective project delivery processes and protect the company’s contractual interests.
  • Commercial acumen, including experience in reviewing Cost Value Reports, managing cash collection, and resolving subcontract disputes.
  • Client relationship management, maintaining strong relationships, addressing complaints, and ensuring KPI targets are met.

Divisional Director

Project Manager

EQUANS is looking for a Project Manager to join our refurbishment team, this is a full time permanent role.  Our head office base is Hatfield however this role will be working on sites across Suffolk. We offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance and benefits package.  

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in a Project Management role for social housing. This is a SHDF project so experience in this is needed. Experience in Microsoft Projects is also essential.

EQUANS is seeking a Regeneration and Sustainability Director to join our team in Didsbury on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday. We are seeking a highly experienced Regeneration & Sustainability Director to lead and drive the performance of our established refurbishment team. As the Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery, ensuring success in terms of safety, timeliness, cost, and quality while governing profit and loss, and managing risks. Your role will be key in supporting the senior leadership team (SLT) of the North West region, guiding strategy, and ensuring operational excellence 

What will you deliver? 

  • Leadership: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team across Work-winning, Operations, Design, Commercial, and Customer functions, ensuring all members are aligned with the company’s goals and targets.
  • Project Delivery: Oversee project delivery from start to finish, ensuring health & safety, quality, and compliance standards are met while managing resources, costs, and timelines effectively.

Technical Supervisor

EQUANS is looking for a Technical Supervisor to join our team in Liverpool on a permanent basis for HMCTS contract, this will cover Cheshire, Merseyside and Liverpool Crown Court. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company car and benefits package. 

General Overview:  
The post holder is accountable for the delivery of the HMCTS contract and associated specifications for the contract.
Duties include;
•Supervise the delivery of the contracted services for the HMCTS contract by supporting the AFM
•Support the AFM in achieving all SLA’s in place
•Manage the engineers to support achieving all internally delivered KPI’s
•Support the AFM in achieving 100% statutory compliance.
•Ensuring H&S compliance to legislative and EQUANS standards
•Line management of direct reports, including recruitment, training, PDRs, succession planning, absence and performance management.
•To ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed by all personnel involved in the contract.
•To work closely with the HMCTS FM’s to deliver an excellent service in support of EQUAN’s objectives.
•To generate and foster a Health and Safety culture across all services.
•Ensure that all risks relating to safety, health, environment and quality are effectively managed using risk assessments, PPE, training and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and service users. 
•Ensure all accidents and near misses are adequately recorded, investigated and appropriate action taken.
•Able to develop effective working relationships with operational personnel, suppliers and sub-contractor's to improve operational performance.
•To create a positive working environment for the team.
•Able to identify ways to improve the services.
•To evidence knowledge and understanding of the SLAs, opportunities and risks present. 
This is not an exhaustive list, and the Technical Supervisor will be required to be flexible as the contract develops. 

Qualifications or Required Experience:  
•A technical background with relevant M&E qualifications. 
•Excellent customer skills with an ability to manage a team of engineers. 
•Meet expectations within the HMCTS contract.
•PC literate and knowledge of MS Office applications, able to use Excel & work with Maximo is desirable.
•Excellent motivation and influencing skills. 
•Commercial awareness would also be beneficial.
•Sound understanding and experience of risk assessment / management.
•Thorough knowledge and experience of Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality assurance systems.
•Full clean driving licence.

Contracts Manager

EQUANS is looking for a Contracts Manager to join our refurbishment team, this is a full time permanent role.  Our head office base is Hatfield however this role will be working on sites in Kensington and Chelsea. We offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance and benefits package. 

This role is to work as part of our refurbishment team on high end retrofit projects. We are looking for someone with experience of traditional refurbishment projects of circa 20 million.

This is a new flagship contract; we are therefor looking for someone who is confident managing projects of this size.

 

What will you deliver? 

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed by all personnel involved in the schemes under their control
  • To take ownership of all aspects of each project under their control from estimating handover through to completion
  • Provide project direction, focus and consistency across a number of schemes
  • Ensure staff receive adequate training to carry out their role on the project
  • Assess exposure to the business for any claims from clients/consultants and residents and ensure the relevant corrective action is taken 
  • Preparation and management of the Construction Phase Plan
  • Preparation and management of the contract programme including Target Programmes
  • Ensure that a Materials and Contractor Procurement schedule are in place to suit the proposed Target/Construction Programme
  • Application of any extension of time / EWN and or cause and effect programme (in liaison with the Quantity Surveyor)
  • Regular updating, review and monitoring of the project risk register
  • Keeping the SHEQ job programme up to date.
  • Develop strong professional relationships with Clients and their officers to help future business development

Contracts Manager

EQUANS are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to be based in Greater Manchester. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance, bonus and benefits package.

General Overview

To effectively, plan, manage and control several concurrently programmed decarbonization Projects across the region, ensuring in the best interest of the company close adherence to the following; Health and safety, Budgeted expense, Quality, Company policies and procedures, Contract documentation.  To oversee operational activities across a number of sites with various Clients in the region, covering all activities from pre-commencement to completion with dedicated project teams under your direction.  To understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy and ensure that all those reporting to you do so.

Key Accountabilities

Within the Business

  • Promote the Company Mission and participate in Company Training and Development.
  • Deliver projects safely, on time and on budget.
  • Implementation and management of the Company SHEQ policy/strategy across all projects.
  • To build up relationships with site teams, office staff, clients and their representatives.
  • Continue personal professional development.

You will be responsible for managing multiple project, ensuring all statutory and contractual obligations are met.

Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential to keep track of critical dates, requirements, and paperwork.

You will ensure EQUANS SHEQ strategy / policies and implemented and effectively managed, creating and maintaining filing systems to store all project documentation, in line with Equans Policy and procedures.

You must be able to explain contractual terms and conditions clearly to all parties.

You will also need to negotiate with contractors and clients to resolve any issues that arise.

Strong written communication is also important for composing legally compliant correspondence, and reports.

You must be able to evaluate the situation objectively, determine the root cause, and develop a remedy that satisfies all parties involved while minimizing impacts to cost and schedule.

It is important to operate with integrity, honesty and high ethical standards at all times
