Equans is looking for a Customer Engagement Officer to join our team in Leeds on a permanent basis.

This is a full time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

General Overview:

The Impact Officer will play a pivotal role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of customer and community engagement, ensuring activities align with Equans mission objectives and produce measurable positive outcomes to enhance the Equans brand and reputation. The position focuses on the promotion of relationships including customers, local communities, stakeholders and partners to ensure the positive impact of Equans projects is maximised to the satisfaction of all stakeholders

What will you deliver?

  • Identify local needs and priorities and develop and implement community engagement strategies
  • Organise and facilitate community events, workshops and meetings to promote Equans and its projects and gather feedback and foster participation
  • Work closely with councils, housing associations, and community organisations to build partnerships and collaborative programmes
  • Engage with local residents and site teams to strengthen community ties and encourage involvement in regeneration initiatives
  • Support the planning and execution of social value and customer care initiatives associated with contracts
  • Monitor the effectiveness of community programmes and customer engagement in projects against KPIs
  • Collect and analyse data to support strategic decision making with data driven insights
  • Prepare comprehensive reports to share with internal and external stakeholders
  • Create newsletters and case studies to promote Equans projects and social value activities in the local community

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in community engagement, social value, and sustainable development, ideally within construction, social housing, or a related field but not essential
  • Strong understanding of community dynamics and social issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in the use of data to analyse and present findings
  • Ability to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Proficient in Publisher, MS Office, Word and Excel for managing documentation and communication
  • Full UK driving licence
