EQUANS is looking for a Facilities Manager (soft services) to join our team in Winsford on a permanent basis. This is a fulltime role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
EQUANS Services Ltd are recruiting for a Facilities Operational Manager to lead and deliver a Workplace Solutions and Face-to-Face service to Cheshire West and Chester council. This is a permanent full-time role and will report into the Head of Service Delivery. This role requires you to oversee all aspects off Workplace Solutions delivery within the scope of the contract. The post holder will be required to deal with various challenges that arise as part of the contract and resolve any challenges as they present. The post holder must be able to provide assurance of service delivery to Senior Management, client and customers.
What will you deliver?
- Lead the delivery of Soft FM services, ensuring they meet contractual commitments and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Act as the main point of contact between EQUANS and Cheshire West & Chester Council for Soft FM operations, including major events and business continuity planning.
- Monitor and manage operational performance, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee building security and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with fire evacuation plans and access control.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client services, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Lead, manage, and develop staff to support operational excellence within Workplace Solutions.
- Ensure financial oversight, approving and challenging expenditure related to Soft FM contracts, budgets, and resources.
- Support and oversee contract compliance, including audits of building logbooks, health & safety regulations, and KPI reporting.
- Conduct performance checks, including spot cleaning inspections and monitoring building support functions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring services remain flexible, innovative, and responsive to evolving client needs.

Who are we looking for?
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Excellent negotiation and procedural skills
- Full understanding of building compliance duties
- Ability to develop effective relations with senior management, customers, staff and clients.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong work ethic
- IT literate with knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Able to take a positive approach to problem solving.
- Able to adapt and support change positively.
- Conduct project reporting in line with required deadlines.
- Identify, mitigate and manage projects and operational risks.
- Hold a full driving licence
