EQUANS are recruiting for a HR Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract to support our Digital & Energy Services business which covers a wide array of sites and projects across the UK.

The role holder will be responsible for the provision of HR Advisor support for people matters , supporting line managers to deliver improvements in culture, change management, compliance and cost control to drive improved engagement and financial results.

What will you deliver?

 

  • Supporting line managers in all people processes to ensure best practice and employee engagement is enhanced.
  • Coach line managers to build capability and promote ownership for managing their people and embedding a leadership
  • framework.
  • Supporting the HR Business Partner in their duties to support the delivery of the HR strategy.
  • Advice and support on grievance / disciplinary action including attendance at hearings as appropriate.
  • Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectation.
  • Monitoring of the annual performance cycle, acting as a super-user and ensuring completion in a timely manner.
  • Support with month end reporting process ensuring that data is collated, accurate and provided on time.
  • Disseminating of communications, spreadsheet, policies & processes and updates on progress against people objectives.
  • Recruitment support, liaising with line managers and the resourcing team.
  • Ensuring absence management is monitored in detail, agreeing plans to improve with line managers and supporting
  • delivery.
  • Driving the business performance in relation to the organisation’s objectives
  • Implementing new HR initiatives and working on various HR projects.
  • Developing and maintaining good relations (informal and formal) with the recognised trade union.

Skills, qualifications & experience

  • Level 5 CIPD member would be an advantage.
  • Proven work experience as an HR advisor, HR consultant or similar role
  • Organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to advise and work with senior members of staff.
  • The ability to use your own initiative.
  • Consult and liaise with local and regional trade union representatives.
  • Hands-on experience with IT programmes and HR systems.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business.
  • Driven and determined.
  • Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly.
