Equans is looking for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our team in Stoke on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
An opportunity has arisen within our company for a full-time Fabric Engineer to join the Stoke Schools PFI Contract. The prospective employees will be expected to carry out duties including minor fabric works, planned maintenance and reactive repair works across 88 sites, ensuring all fabric works are completed to a high standard.
What will you deliver?
- Undertake minor repair works (Re-active Maintenance) in line with trade qualifications and or skill set for all types of fabric works
- Including door and window furniture / ironmongery, joinery / carpentry, fire doors, wet trades, flooring, roofing, suspended ceilings, tilling, painting & decorating and handy person repairs
- Completion of installation and minor works in line with fabric trade qualifications
- Undertaking planned maintenance (PPM) activities on fabric assets / elements
- Including windows, fire doors, ironmongery, passive fire protection, roof and gutter maintenance
- Working on call within a rota for any emergencies on the estate

Who are we looking for?
- Approved and formal apprenticeship served in relevant City & Guilds Trade Craft
- Previous experience in building fabric repairs and maintenance
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and procedures
- Awareness of risk assessment & working safely with equipment
- IPAF (MEWP) qualification desirable but not essential
- Full, clean driving license is essential
This role includes an enhanced DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
