Business Development Manager
EQUANS are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to be based in Manchester. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance and benefits package.
General Overview
To identify and secure profitable, long term and short-term pipeline in all core product sectors within the region to deliver the strategic growth plan.
To achieve business development objectives within the region to meet business plan requirements.
Key Accountabilities
Conduct effective market analysis
- Assist in market size estimates and reviews.
- Assist in the identification and prioritisation of key customers.
- Scan trade press for market information.
- Identify relevant publications and documentation.
- Provide updates to identify trends, changes and market information about clients and contacts generally.
- Reporting on changes in the market and how these will affect the Region.
- Identify changing customer needs and wants.
Establish and maintain effective customer contact
- Make regular contact with customers, prioritising those identified as key, and build lasting relationships.
- Follow up all leads provided, create, and manage a strong pipeline of work
- Provide the link between client and technical team on new projects
- Understand relevant frameworks in the marketplace and manage existing framework relationships
Monitor and record all business development activity
- Circulate relevant notes to relevant people following customer contact
- Assist in the management of salesforce pipeline and other reportage required
- Assist in the reporting of progress against BD strategy
- Provide efficient feedback to line manager and other directors/managers as required
Working with other departments
- Contribute to the design of marketing literature and materials and ensure effective use of them.
- Continually review and develop internal processes to ensure constant progression.
- Assist in implementation of marketing and business development initiatives.
- Work closely with the sustainability team and other Equans teams to provide client focused solutions
- Provide support to others in department as required.
