Equans is looking for a Building Services Technician to join our team at Heysham 2 Nuclear Power Station on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?

Carry out maintenance routines unsupervised, diagnose and repair faults of a wide variety of Mechanical Systems, Air Conditioning Systems including Splits, Multi-Splits, VRV’s, VRF’s, Chillers, Air Handling Units, Commercial Heating Systems, Steam and condensate systems associated plant and pipework
- Maintain, fault find and repair on Domestic Hot and Cold-Water Systems and associated drainage systems
- Ensure compliance with statutory maintenance including record keeping and testing
- Including but not limited to PSSR, F Gas and legionella

Assisting installations for minor upgrades & adaptation works

Keeping records & reports up to date and other relevant administration tasks

Who are we looking for?
-
City & Guilds or NVQ in Engineering (Desirable but training can be provided)
-
CITB Safe Handling of Refrigerants and/or City and Guilds in Charging and Recovery (Desirable, but training can be provided)
-
Steam Plant Maintenance (Desirable but training can be provided)
-
C&G2079 handling refrigerants (Desirable but training can be provided)
-
Legionella Competent person (Desirable but training can be provided)

GCSE Maths and English Grade 4 minimum requirement

Formal and recognised apprenticeship served in relevant skill area or minimum of 4 years relevant and practical experience within Engineering

Awareness of risk assessment and working safely with Mechanical Systems

Ability to follow work instructions, read/ interpret technical diagrams and report technical information as required

If you have completed CCNSG training this would be very advantageous

A valid driving licence (Desirable)
This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
