Equans is looking for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our team on the North West Fire and Rescue contract on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Perform all fabric maintenance duties, including painting & decorating, replacing ceiling tiles, laying carpet tiles, minor brickwork, and basic joinery (e.g., door furniture) to the required specifications and within project timelines.
- Organize the ordering and delivery of materials and parts to the site as required, ensuring accurate paperwork is provided and records are updated in the CAFM system.
- Understand and meet ongoing customer requirements, building strong working relationships with business partners and managing sub-contractors effectively.
- Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works in line with SLAs, KPIs, and Critical Performance Indicators (CPIs).
- Liaise with client representatives to resolve any issues and ensure all work meets client satisfaction.
- Ensure work is completed on time and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Report any potentially hazardous situations immediately to management.
- Participate in the emergency on-call system as part of a scheduled rota.
- Adhere to the company’s Health & Safety Policy and Management Plans.
- Perform other related duties as required by the department.

Who are we looking for?
-
ONC/C&G or equivalent in relevant are of expertise – joinery and or building fabric maintenance.
-
Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment.

Sound knowledge of Health & Safety.

Ability to measure, works to plans (method statements).

Ideally have experience of working on all types of building fabrics ranging from fire door inspections, door repairs, finger guards, ironmongery repairs and replacements, flooring inspections, dry wall repairs and final finishes, installation of shelving, pattresses and any other associated items.
