We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior M&E Technician to join our maintenance team at Barnet General Hospital. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on an alternating shift pattern working either 06:00 to 15:00 or 09:00 to 18:00 weekly.
Key Activities:
- Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor
- To deliver planned and reactive maintenance and scheduled installation works
- To oversee specialist sub-contractors, and manage contractors as necessary, working to a safe system of work and permit-to-work system
- To undertake AP/RP duties for the disciplines for which you have been appointed
- To cover for other technicians as necessary
- To participate in the on call rota, and carry out overtime as required
- Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on an alternating shift pattern working either 06:00 to 15:00 or 09:00 to 18:00 weekly.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience
- Experience working in a healthcare environment is essential with AHU maintenance experience
- Previous supervisory and mentoring experience essential
- Experience in building services maintenance is essential
- Willingness to attain cross skilling and IT Literate
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
- Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
- Must have a good understanding of health & safety best practice; formal training an advantage
