Equans is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Worcestershire Royal Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the healthcare estate. What will you deliver? 

  • To undertake a proactive assistant role in carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspection of mechanical building services
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and associated building services in accordance with the PPM programme
  • Respond in a timely manner to ad-hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor / manager or as a minimum, as per site contract
  • Assist in Carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works
  • Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory and Company guidelines
  • Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools
  • Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures
  • Complete work within the allotted timeframes
  • Carry out any other identified tasks commensurate with role

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance Services or Equivalent
  • Previously worked within a maintenance environment
  • Worked on Mechanical Systems, DHW, LPHW, CHW , Ventilation Systems
  • Previous Pipe Fitting Duties
  • Worked on Steam Systems (desirable)

This role includes a standard DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
