Equans is looking for an Electrical Team Leader to join our team in Stoke on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

As the Electrical Team Leader you will be responsible for performance of Equans engineers / sub-contractors and maintaining Equans and industry standards within the Stoke Schools PFI contract. To provide advice, guidance and support to both client and engineering teams to ensure appropriate and compliant solutions and efficient customer service delivery.

 

What will you deliver? 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the engineering staff
  • Assist in the preparation of emergency and contingency plans
  • Maintain records appertaining to the PPM schedule, ensuring the estate remains statutory compliant
  • Oversee all contract activities, both maintenance, reactive and projects and ensure all safety aspects are managed and monitored in accordance with site procedures and requirements
  • Undertake tasks associated with staff during peak workloads and provide holiday and sickness cover
  • Staff supervision including all full-time, part-time, sub-contractors and specialist providers
  • Take ownership of the client’s needs and pursue effective communications with the customer
  • Be proactive with regard to preventative maintenance and extra works
  • Be available to attend or manage emergency call-outs and provide written incident reports as required
  • Arrange toolbox talks / Attend Site visits / van checks / audits/ site safety checks
  • Manage the out of hours cover for Stoke Schools in accordance with roster

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • Time-served Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
  • A solid understanding of building fabric is beneficial
  • IOSH
  • IPAF / PASMA Qualification (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems
  • Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of problems through to satisfactory conclusion

This role includes an enhanced DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
