EQUANS is looking for a Assistant Financial Accountant to join our team based at Quorum Business Park on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

This role will be to support the Financial Accounting Team in month end processes and the Business Partners and the Business by posting journals, providing reports, analysis and insights in support of management decision making.

As a member of our Shared Services team, you will have the ability to work flexibly from our brand-new office space at the Quorum Business Park for 2 days each week, with 3 days at home. What will you deliver? 

  • Complete month end processes as defined in desk top procedures to pre agreed timetable.
  • Review and process journals submitted from business partners.
  • Produce high quality, actionable management information reports and insights.
  • Be focussed on developing insightful value-added management information which allows the business to deliver optimal performance.
  • Challenge existing ways of working and develop a continuous improvement culture.
  • Instil a customer facing culture to enable the delivery of best in class services to all stakeholders.

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • Ideal role for a recent accounting graduate or someone wanting to start a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA).
  • Experience of complex business processes and tools for large data analysis.
  • Good at managing relationships particularly with the business / customers.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.

This role includes a Standard DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
