Equans is looking for a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team in the West Midlands working on our contract with HS2 on a permanent basis. The main office base will be in Coleshill. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets, through following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance in a flexible and efficient manner
  • There may be some requirement in completing reactive tasks that get raised and delivery of quoted works across out-of-scope sites
  • Carry out Weekly, Monthly and Annual PPM’s such as Fire Alarm tests, Flushing, Emergency Lighting Checks, Electrical Meter Readings, Water Temp checks, Expansion Vessels
  • Be able to rectify problems where appropriate, following correct procedures
  • Carry out reactive electrical works
  • Identify and report areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards (Safety, Technical and Environmental)
  • Carry out appropriate risk assessments before undertaking any work, point or works assessments
  • Act as Site LV AP completing isolations for others

Who are we looking for?

  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship/NVQ Qualification/City and Guilds or Equivalent

  • 18th Edition Electrical Installation Inspection and Testing to BS7671

  • MEWP 3A & 3B (Desirable)

  • HV Knowledge/Experience (Desirable)

  • Act as an Appointed Person / Responsible Person for Technical Disciplines, as required

  • Possess good communication skills and be a team player

  • Have experience of PPM and reactive maintenance

  • Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working on electrical systems

  • Driving Licence
