EQUANS is looking for a Technical Administrator to join our team based at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £25,000 – £28,000, dependant upon skills and experience as well as benefits package. 


This role offers an opportunity to develop the sites technical document control and Sub-contractor management skills, whilst assisting in the development and implementation of EQUANS’s Technical Compliance within the Contract. 

Reporting to EQUANS’s Head of Estates, the successful candidate will work amongst the Equans Estates team with a focus on supporting and facilitating the delivery of Technical Compliance on site.

What will you deliver? 

  • Assigning Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to Engineers
  • Daily monitoring of completion of PPM and chasing Engineers
  • Assist in the ongoing management of the Maximo CAFM system ensuring it is up to date and correct at all times
  • Support chase through and completion of Outstanding Jobs, ensuring notes are up to date and first response times are met
  • Assist in the upkeep of O&M Manuals & addition of assets/PPM to the CAFM system following completion of project works on site
  • Ensuring compliance of all works documentation
  • Ensuring Equans Estates Team LOP’s are in place, reviewed annually. Both electronic/hard copies are maintained
  • Support the administrative process within the Equans Estates Team
  • Calling out and ongoing liaison with contractors and clients
  • Provide technical document control support and undertake audits to ensure adherence to policy and statutory/Company Compliance
  • Assist with supporting the Equans Estates team during audits by external or internal auditors
  • Undertake general admin activities, including printing, scanning and binding
  • Monitoring reactive jobs and highlighting any that fall over the maintenance cap on site
  • Assist in the collation of information to facilitate Damage claims with the client
  • Attend departmental walk arounds and represent the Estates Team
  • Carry out other reasonable duties within capability.

Who are we looking for? 


  • Strong experience within Administration
  • Strong organisational skills 
  • Ability to work proactively with a can do attitude
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite, including Office
  • Ideally possess experience, or an understanding of the principles Building Services Installations
  • Experience of using CAFM Systems.

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
