INEO NUCLEAR UK, a company of EQUANS (BOUYGUES group) is looking for a Head of UK Design Authority and CDM

What is your working environment ?

Ineo Nuclear UK, a subsidiary of Ineo Nucléaire, is in charge of nuclear projects based in the UK and wider Europe. Its expertise remains focused on the electrical / instrumentation / electromechanical scopes, but with a view to also develop multi-technical integrated projects. In the UK we are currently a strategic partner on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project – the construction of 2 new EPR units in the South West of England.

What is your role?


  • Carryout a CDM review of construction drawings and associated supporting documents in agreed template
  • Comment, follow progress and when required find technical solutions for Technical Deliverables for topics including but not limited to:
    • Generic Deliverables: mounting configuration, principle of implementation, cable specification, interface document, ECS coding,…)
    • Execution Deliverables: layout drawing, block cable diagram, consumer list, cable list, system schematic, …)
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Ineo Engineering Manager, Building Managers and Design Team
  • Keep senior management and other stakeholders routinely informed of project status and all developments that may impact schedule and Nuclear safety through regular reports
  • Collaborate with other contractors to find optimised integrated solutions, challenges technical options and supports the internal preferred options
  • Attend meetings with the Client (NNB) and with other contractors (MEH and the other electrical contractors) in Bristol, Paris or Lyon
  • Report weekly to the Project Manager the downstream key information (actual news, changes, blocking points, etc.)
  • Ensure that NNB’s technical requirements (in his/her field of expertise) are designed in accordance with British Standards/European Standards
  • Provide technical assistance on the production of electrical design deliverables provided by us
  • Develop and implement engineering design solutions inhouse in accordance with British Standards and best practices
  • Develop technical specifications and supplier documentation in accordance with British Standards
  • Perform design analysis and checks in accordance with British Standards and best practices
  • Perform independent verification on deliverables classified as QRAs, in accordance with the requirements of the General Quality Assurance Specification

What profile are we looking for?

  • Experience in the Nuclear sector
  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of the British Standards for electrical design and installation works (BS7671)
  • Ability to navigate Naviswork and use for review and assessment purposes
