EQUANS is looking for a Streetworks Manager to join our team in Grimsby. This is a permanent role working full time hours per week. On offer is a salary of £37,500 – £41,500 depending on skills and experience and benefits package.


What will you deliver?

  • Be the lead professional for the operational management of the NE Lincs Permit Scheme and compliance of street works. To ensure the service is delivered in compliance with national standards.
  • To lead in directing the work of statutory undertakers and others authorised to work on the highway to ensure that the works are completed safely, in line with agreed specifications and within agreed timescales.
  • To undertake day to day supervision of the Streetworks Inspectors.
  • The post holder will need to be articulate, enthusiastic, committed and highly organised with a proven track record in leading and working within a busy team. Flexibility and the ability to respond to the changing demands of the business as well as the ability to multi-task are vital.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience of dealing with members of the public and elected members
  • Experience of planning, notifying or co-ordinating highway works.
  • Knowledge of the requirement of the New Roads and Streetworks Act, 1994.
  • Knowledge of traffic, road safety, highway maintenance and statutory utility works on the highway
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office, including using e-mail and electronic calendar
  • Experience of working within a Local Authority
  • Experience of dealing with difficult customers
