We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Manager (mobile) to join our Facilities Management team on our Greater Manchester police TFM contract working across various police stations in the Greater Manchester area with a main base of Eccles. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm.

The role:

  • Reporting to the Contract Manager
  • To support the Contract Manager in managing cost effectively the directly employed and outsourced labour resources and assets required to deliver a compliant and high quality service covering all M&E and Building Fabric disciplines
  • Responsible for the maintenance team and to plan, organise and co-ordinate the reactive and planned maintenance works and the on-call rota.
  • Management and implementation of specialist service contracts together with the day-to-day performance of the
  • Demonstrate effective relationship management Skills, particularly in dealing with client representatives, staff and supply chain management and participate effectively in all prescribed client and partnership meetings.
  • Responsible for all aspects of PPM Management, including preparation and validation of job plans, scheduling works, resource planning, managing access, optimising work packages for efficiency and for incorporating statutory & legal compliance
  • Responsible for the timely delivery of all PPM
  • Responsible for ensuring, by audit, the quality of works and the accuracy and sufficiency of the asset performance / condition data reported by the technicians and that all prescribed financial, performance and availability standards are met, including response times and rectification times for unplanned works so as to meet the Service Quality
  • Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday


The person:

  • Will come from a Hard FM background with an Engineering qualification in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline
  • Will have significant experience in a building services environment with comprehensive electrical and/or mechanical experience
  • Knowledge of other FM disciplines and/or working in a PFI environment is essential
  • Must be able to achieve and retain relevant vetting clearance required by the client
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Sound IT skills including CAFM experience, or similar
  • Full driving licence as travel to various sites across the contract will be required
