Equans is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our team at Sullom Voe Terminal Power Station in the Shetland Islands on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

The role is responsible for the overall management of the maintenance department including workshops and stores, overseeing a team of Engineers, Maintenance Technicians and General Assistant, it provides support to the Operations Team to ensure plant and equipment availability are met and statutory compliance is maintained. 

What will you deliver?

  • Effective Management of your team to ensure risk assessments are carried out ensure activities are completed in a safe manner at all times

  • Working as part of a management team striving for continual improvement in minimising Health and Safety risk at all times

  • Ongoing developing of the maintenance team to ensure high ethics towards Health, Safety and environment

  • Managing your team and contractors to ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times

  • Oversee and co-ordinate, schedule maintenance activities during planned and unplanned shutdowns, working with the station project delivery team to ensure all work is completed in line with agreed targets

Who are we looking for?

  • Appropriate engineering qualification (Degree or HND with relevant experience)

  • NEBOSH Certificate

  • Management qualification (DMS or equivalent)

  • Engineering Management experience in Power Plant or Heavy Process Plant would be advantages

  • Experience in working with a SSoW, training will be given in SVPS systems

  • Experience in managing maintenance teams and contractors to deliver agreed objectives and targets

  • Experience in developing and managing a Computerised Maintenance Management System

  • Management experience of health, safety and environment legislation relevant to Power Plant or Heavy Process Plant

  • Managing budgets and resources
