Equans is looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Torness on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The role of our Project Manager is key to successfully completing any project or program the organisation is undertaking. Their daily responsibilities include aligning projects with business objectives, constructing detailed work plans, managing teams, achieving milestones, and communicating the results to stakeholders.

Our project managers are accountable for planning and allocating resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. All of this takes place within the framework of achieving the company’s goals and achieving our vision.

What will you deliver?

  • The project manager’s roles and responsibilities may differ dependent on the project.
  • The role covers project work ranging from minor extra works to large-scale civil and M&E works.
  • Work within all levels of our site team.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.
  • Lead the initiation and planning of a project and ensure technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track the progress of the project.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Manage relationships between clients and stakeholders.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools.
  • Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks.
  • Report and escalate to senior management as and when needed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Carrying out the training required to support the role within the site contract.

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven working experience in a relevant discipline/background.
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisation software such as AutoCAD / Visio
  • Advanced MS Office skills including Excel and MS Project
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
  • Project management qualification (APM Prince2 etc)
  • Decision-making ability and leadership skills
  • Current engineer license
  • Time management and organisation skills
  • BSc/HND in Engineering or relevant field
  • Financial and Commercial Awareness
