EQUANS is looking for an Area Facilities Manager and this will be based in Hampshire, covering Portsmouth and Southampton. This is a permanent full-time role for our HMCTS contracts working 40 hours per week. On offer for this role is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

The Area Facilities Manager is a key role in our operation team for delivery of our client and internal requirements across several of our client sites. The Area Facilities Manager will have full responsibility of the operational delivery, compliance, KPI performance, resourcing, financial performance, and client relationships. They will act as part of the escalation procedure for their sites, and for others as required.  

Strategic and operational responsibilities are extensive and include: 
• Reporting to the Regional Manager you will have full accountability for hard and soft service provisions covering multiple client sites within the London Region.
• Leading a team of direct reports including Facilities Manager, Technical service supervisors and facilities supervisor to drive operational excellence across multiple sites.
• Stakeholder management at all internal and external levels (specialist contractors, client partnerships, internal support functions such as HR, Finance, Commercial)
• People Management – This includes performance, moral, teamwork, training, and development and, communication requirements. 
• Risk Management, including incident, escalations, emergency response support and site attendance as and when required.
• Delivering excellent standards of compliance, including client driven audits and contract KPI’s
• Asset Management Planning, including Heritage listed building management. 
• Quality Assurance, Health and Safety, and Engineering compliance. 
• Procurement & Contractor Management. 
• Maintenance and technical facilities operations. 
• Minor works Project Management. 
• Budget and Financial Management
• Producing and analysing monthly reporting to target areas of opportunity and improvement
• Deputise for Regional Manager in periods of planned absence.
• Attendance at audits as required.
• Effective resource planning & delivery
• Delivery of key objectives for employee engagement, talent & succession planning and alignment to EQUANS Fundamentals 

Qualifications or Required Experience:  

• Experience in delivering both hard and soft services. 
• P&L Responsibility  
• Strong customer facing skills dealing with challenging clients. 
• Excellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contracts in financial terms.
• Previous experience working across a multi-site, complex estate.
• Experience with technical aspects of Facilities Management
• An understanding of delivery of minor/additional works
• Experience working in the public sector for outsourced Facilities Management companies.
• Full understanding on compliance across all aspects of Building Services
